Ok, first off I want to state this conversation is going in a totally off topic discussion of what the real balance issue is. Before I break it down, I didn’t think I would have to disclose this, but it shouldn’t matter on which character I am posting this on. This isn’t a DS only thing, or a Chosen only issue, certain players vs. the Imms thing, or whatever people are trying to make it. This has nothing to do with being angry and jaded(lol)?This is simple a balance discussion on a DS vs. LS war system that involves players (Who play both sides mind you). So the discussion about each general being harder than the other is mainly irrelevant to the core issue. The core issue is that the system itself is flawed by a variable hard to control: The Playerbase and time zones of the Playerbase.
Currently the most recent generals are being hit when the defending playerbase is nonexistent. This isn’t an opinion. It is just factual. Elysia can triple check the timestamps on the kills or turn ins to verify. So this notion of Jecks saying he wants more war, bash and smash pk is just fluff and narrative. On his hits, they did not pillage or try to find war and pk. They did their hit and they high tailed it out of there. Now, as I already conceded, this is not Jecks fault. He is playing the system and playing it to win in the way it was rolled out. Kudos. But that doesn’t make it balanced. When it first rolled out, I conducted hits on both DS and LS. I took the groups to Tar Valon, we killed all opposition, cleared all opposition inside the city, and then killed the general. Likewise on vs. DS, I brought a group to blight, we cleared all opposition, went into the keep and did the same, and finally cleared the general. The way Jecks supports. Both ways are successful. I stopped doing the hits because I wanted others to lead and do them and vice versa. What ended up happening is it turned into the LS wars. “Sneak attack” general kills when everyone is sleeping or the playerbase is not there. That is not really a “War”. The website is something that Elysia cannot control, but players obvious gain the upper hand in knowledge knowing what can defend vs you. It is with this issue that I spoke with Elysia and proposed balance and other means to add to the war system. I thought the discussions went well and I don’t recall saying we refuse to play smob wars. I recall giving ideas to include other avenues of participation that can give people chances to participate beyond sleeping general hits. Whether it was via PK kills, TG scores, City head turn ins, General hits etc. There has to be a more balanced way for the WHOLE playerbase to participate in the war. Keep in mind there are times when player numbers are so low, it effects what players can do. Like Razhak or Europeans or Aussies face, they might never have enough to ever hit a general. It is not their fault. So why shouldn’t we put in other means for them to participate? I could just say screw them and call 5 friends and hit the generals over and over while people are sleeping but what does that prove? That I can take advantage of a broken system more than the next person? I would like the wars to be great, but currently they are not. It is not a knock on the hard work put in by the staff and imms. Sometimes things just don’t execute as planned. Or perhaps this was how it was planned. Either way, it currently is not balanced for the playerbase to participate so I will speak up to see if we can fix that.

Keep
-3exits (two gates pickable from outside and inside with average pick) one jump exit
-non auto locking gates when LS engaged on mobs
-no gate defenses from the inside gate
-GK hard channel room for certain weaves
-mob level significantly lower than inside tv
- no call mob
-2 channeling mobs roaming inside GK
-2 zones from waygate
-5 zones from nearest LS friendly main city(FD)
-central location for darkside players
Tar Valon
-4 exits(north exit doesn’t count since trolls cant canoe on their own), 2 very high pick needed for inside and even higher pick needed from outside) and a openable gate on SE end.
-2 zones from the waygate(Only if you have high pick for westgate to go that way)- None will
- Call mob
-Autolocking gates for 2 tics if DS engaged by a mob
-2 channeling mobs outside tower
-base mobs better equipped and higher level than average ds mobs.
-many channeling mobs on inside tower grounds
-10 or 12 zones away from nearest DS friendly city based off the route chosen home(Keep)
-central location for the highest damage dealing class in the game
