War system questions
Re: War system questions
Dumai's Well isn't a factor in this because we're not in that timeline. That history is yet to come. So no, I don't mean that.
Re: War system questions
Also yes, we're all aware of Sedai and their ability to bend the truth and Oaths into ways that work for them without really "breaking" them.
Re: War system questions
We are on no definitive timeline. Things are blended up so short of saying you're the Dragon and being able to prove it, everything is pretty much fair game.Rig wrote:Dumai's Well isn't a factor in this because we're not in that timeline. That history is yet to come. So no, I don't mean that.

Timelines are all screwy as was said but if Manetheren exists again then didn't Aes Sedai help found it during the Battle of Emond's Field?Rig wrote: 1: Tower left Manetheren to die, so Eagles shouldn't have firetruck all to do with Tower

We have no in game history of Dumai's Wells. It doesn't count for dung as an argument anyway you spin it.Octavio wrote:We are on no definitive timeline. No, Manetheren doesn't exist anymore. This was in the past, Eagles (having been an Eagle on an alt myself) can confirm this, therefore has in game history.Re: War system questions

Re: War system questions
I hate you all for bringing out the RP nazi in me.
Re: War system questions
The relevance of that particular example is just that there is precedent in the books that an Aes Sedai can channel against humans, despite the third oath, if she is being attacked, even if she intentionally puts herself in harm's way. It has nothing to do with timelines or historical events. It also does not speak to the issue of whether Aes Sedai SHOULD be taking that course of action, just that it is possible to do so. It is relevant because there was the suggestion that rocking into Amador (or wherever else) and then channeling when humans attack you is cheating and violating the oaths and should therefore be disallowed.Rig wrote:We have no in game history of Dumai's Wells. There might be other reasons not to do it, but the oaths allow it.

Re: War system questions
I'm aware of that. I'm not picking sides, just being an rp nazi. Just saying from an rp standpoint Eagles would probably tell Tower to shove it and fight the war on Amador themselves.
Re: War system questions
That was your point 1. Dumai's Wells was related to your point 4.

That’s just, like, your opinion, man.Rig wrote:I'm aware of that. I'm not picking sides, just being an rp nazi. Just saying from an rp standpoint Eagles would probably tell Tower to shove it and fight the war on Amador themselves.
