I believe this "issue" was raised a number of times in the past, but let's give it another go because I don't remember how all the previous discussions ended...guessing with a big "no" :P

Reading Elys latest Announcement post about armor crafting in FM and particularly the reason behind it - In an effort to breathe some life into Far Madding

If my WoT knowledge still serves me well, Far Madding was not one of the largest cities in Westlands, yet it is in the game. Never quite understood why.

To make it a more popular zone, it would probably be better to scale it down to the size of Bandar Eban, Tear or Amador (minus the CoL fortress).
Far Madding is a trading city with no less than three great markets and many places of business and commerce. It is a bustling and thriving city, although not one of the larger cities of the land.
Add to all that their "no weapons allowed" law and mobol, it doesn't even promote same-side PK, therefore even less attractive to go to.

Can that be changed to guards attacking you and only when/if you're at batt-beat do they put you in Jail? Your warrant being auto-removed when you're released after X amount of time? Or something that should only be enforced by players in Wall Guard? Seems like something that just kills any point of using the War system with/vs Far Madding, unless I'm missing something?

Adding more exp mobs around the city, two smobs, maybe some additional quests or crafting materials/resources....I assume this would all make FM more interesting for all types of players.

Also, curious - why is Tar Valon so weak now? :?

The island-city withstood Artur Hawkwings siege, and a number of attacks from False Dragons and Shadowspawn...and compared to how it used to be in game...is kind of a joke now...? :)

We'll not be changing something as fundamentally bookish as the no-weapons thing. It's also what helps FM maintain neutrality.

Re: the other points, I suggest you go to Maredo and explore some. :P

Wall guards are almost as cool as Well guards, but almost doesn't count.

I'd be happy if they just fixed the road, to actually lead directly to the north gate, and south gate, instead of the confusing nightmare it currently is :p

It could do with downsiding, but keeping the rp bookish things there.
Market towns should have actual markets.
I know it's s lot of work though.

Moving the Market from Lugard to FM, or certain brokers only?

Surely though they're more market towns.
So perhaps another commodity.

No. The Market Hall is in the same zone as Lugard rooftops and palace. I am not going to rebuild it. Not to mention, FM is aggro to Seanchan and darkfriends, whom we also think should be able to use the Market Hall.

FM was considered, but we opted for Lugard for that being more fitting.
