You could make more people come back if you could get rid of the paranoia surrounding clanning. Anytime i've ever tried to play this game and get into it enough to clan, the masters always try to find out your alts. If you don't have some good ones they like, they will bar your way. If clanning wasn't the only way to be competitive with the master bonus, this wouldn't matter.

Not saying that had anything to do with the responses. I mean it could have been something else. It was probably something else.

Anyone wants my 2c, the game needs to be newbie friendly. I mean not only new to WOTMUD but new to Mudding. I came here 11 years ago because of the WOT theme. I'd never mudded before I found this game. I left for 10 years in part because of personal reasons but also because I couldn't make any progress in PK and whatnot. Didn't stat well, and 10 years ago the game wasn't really that newbie friendly. Those things have changed.

There have been some vast improvements made in regard to statting and so forth, which is good. Frankly I'd market this thing to anyone involved anywhere in WOT fandom, to bring in people like me, who love the world and may be new the concept of MUDding.

Regarding statting, I am sure this has been asked before but is there a reason that statting for a statsum would not be a good thing? Each character type would have limitations, for example a channie could not have greater than a 14 con, but allow the player to determine where the numbers go to.

It's pretty much what we talked about. I just kept trying to join clans that I thought were cool, but other people weren't active enough in them or they also didn't think I was cool enough to be in them anyways so, I just lost interest trying. Between work and the mud there's always someone trying to step on your head so you can't enjoy yourself. It took almost 20 years to kinda sit back and realize I'm probably never going to master in the current age, def not gonna get into the cool clans I wanted to, and because we never add new people to the game we sit in the same stagnant pool of people that have been here forever and after a while it just cannibalizes my version of fun. No reason to come back to the place, even though I did enjoy it for the longest time.

The saddest part though.. is eventually it'll be like 5-10 selfish people left and they'll have all the loot and cool clans to themselves and nobody to play it with haha. Hope it was worth it ;) I got a date with a PS4 and the rest of my adulthood I guess, getting married this year and trying to do some big things at work. My only hope is that people take the game a bit more seriously and do more to attract new players, it's the only way it will ever be great again and without it, eventually the place will die a slow and agonizing death haha. All my friends are gone at this point and I just can't bring myself to walk even 5 rooms before i log off again so I think I've finally reached the end.

Sad day.
