... sit down, kick back and relax, and talk about anything that doesn't belong on one of the other forums.

I'm not sure why you think it's arbitrary. Either you think I read all the forums, all the time (and I never read any of them, any of the time, unless someone requests I do) or you don't use the reporting function. But
you do use the reporting function. You use the system that is in place. That means it's not arbitrary. If it's not enforced to your liking, explain why please, either here or you may PM me.
Dude. Everything on this game is arbitrary. I said this to you before you became game admin for years and years. My position is not going to suddenly change.
I will however concede that is probably is just the nature of the beast.

Well, a good point was raised. In over 20 years of wotmudding, I've never once considered using the report feature... not once...
Obviously, I'm not about to start spamming report, but I really never thought, hm, I should draw an immortals attention to this, I simply thought, wow... that was out of line, and just rolled on.
Guess that's an example of shared blame, where the community, if it had an issue with language, we should have been helping the staff, instead of just complaining about their lack of policing.

Fair point. But didn’t we all complain with the last forums about forum policing? Grass is always greener, I guess

I'm thinking there is a fine balance, somewhere, between fully R-rated forums, and somewhere around pg-pg13.
No one likes being overly policed, but the last thing I would like to see is either parents forbidding, or teens themselves, deciding to leave our community, based on overly abusive forum language.
Just a thought.

If your really think stuff is the same from the old days of blanket bans and our tyrannical queen randomly deciding how to punish people depending on the day then you are mistaken. The only thing not changing in this situation seems to be you.

I'm reporting this whole thread for not being meaty enough.
