Aston and I were running from Dukug and Byrg. I was low, but determined to continue fighting, I sought to think of a way to slay Dukug the Fade. But alas, it was not meant to be for now...

Really thought Whorgomasadar was zerk after that, was a big letdown, luckily gap is blight moves now so takes a whole vial to run it :P

The Tear Road
Cobblestone fades away, back into the hard packed dirt scarred with wagon ruts.
Sounds of the city, drift above the great walls that meet at the pallisade just
to the east. Soldiers can be seen walking on the walls forever vigilante
against Tear's enemies. To the south, fields that provide the city of Tear with
sustanance spread out to the west of the city.

The Tear Road
To the west a large bridge arcs over the slow flowing Erinin river. To the
north the beginning of a pier that juts onto the silty river can be seen.
The cobblestoned road leads eastward, towards the city of Tear, and the
ominous fortress looms up from the city's center almost challenging the
impossible, the fall of the Stone of Tear.

The cobblestoned road gives way to timber, cracked from the sweltering heat yet

north as the Borderlands. The dock is filled with commotion as the merchants,
captains, sailors and travelers go about their business.

So the mud has degraded now to the point where its proper to blameshame Meren for killing you "AFK" when you are AFK exping on exp mobs? So basically when are people still allowed to pk you?

Or do you use some trigger to bash during your AFK exping while you are AFK? Because your own log shows you were there seconds before Meren walked in.

Personally, I find these Razhak responses to AFK deaths much more obnoxious and degrading than the type of post they are responding to (of course, I often make the type of post Yeri made, so my bias is showing).

There's nothing wrong with letting people know that you were AFK when you died. There are actually quite a few of us who like to be informed of this stuff.

It looks like Yeri was at the keyboard shortly before Meren showed up, but he was not there a moment later when Meren did show up. Meren doesn't have to return, but now he can make an informed decision about whether to return or not. It's not like there is any actual repercussion for killing people AFK -- just some of us that like to know when it happens.

My above post was partly inspired by the discord complaints by Yeri against Meren where there was some serious blameshaming. He even implied Byrg had been there to assist Meren in killing him (Byrg was in caemlyn stables at that time!)

I've walked away from people in cases like this, I've also killed them. Sometimes I've dropped eq, sometimes I didn't. That is up to me in that case..

However, if you are going afk outside your clanrooms/citysquare or another "safe room", expect that someone will (try to) kill you. I think that is one of the premises of this mud: nowhere is safe (not entirely true, but close enough). Lately there are these big blameshame campaigns against people who kill someone, and it is just not right.

Bullshit, I tagged Byrg because he had said something earlier but didn't say a thing about Byrg being involved. Don't start putting words in my mouth for people that weren't there.

It's pretty clear where you stand; not all of us are in favor of AFK killing to make the game a more dangerous place. May just have to agree to disagree on what's acceptable there.
