Item Request: basic equipment slot sheaths

Preferably the held slot addition and the removal of the short blade sheaths above the “worn on belt slot” would be best in my opinion.

While you may “hold” many different items some of us only hold our oilstones and would like to utilize the held slot for sheaths as well.

I’d be perfectly happy giving up the shoufa/hood slot and hold a small leather sheath instead!

Taziar is probably going to hate this, but I'm afraid I've removed the HOLD flag from the baldric. A baldric is a belt slung diagonally across the body, so it makes no sense for it to be able to occupy the HOLD slot - unless you use the logic where *anything* is holdable, which I am not because that way madness lies.

Sometimes we have to sacrifice the small "realistic" details for actual game play mechanics. Like drawing an 18lbs sword (that is longer than your arms) out of a scabbard on your back... can you use a baldric on a belt???

a great example of a game mechanic is the 18 lbs sword as real swords rarely exceeded 4.5 lbs. I think sword sheaths and dagger sheaths both makes sense held, not sure about baldric. Logically you would have sheaths hanging from the baldric as the function is like a belt more or less. So you would still be holding the sheath with the leather belt which makes up the baldric twirled around it.

Ideally you would be able to put the baldric on the outside of your cloak etc so that you draw whatever is in there first. Because of game mechanics limitations this isnt possible, so the simplest soution would probably be to make sheaths held
