The no-channels at all e camp and elbow were fantastic for PK.

Who female on LS these days and about 50% of the who list is channies. It doesn't take a genius to see the massive influx up north. Be good to keep these things that help PK keep going. Stedding is very useful, but doesn't help if you're borderlands, and doesn't help so much if you need mob support versus superior numbers too.

So instead of having PK go north until you can play in sted/hot zones/fade mobs, it's better if everyone PKs on and off the nochannel, with LS generally winning off and DS winning on?

I wasn't on for the vast majority of that month, so I don't know how it affected things. But whenever you've got too many channies it's not gonna be good, and it's just pushing two zones north to get to sted - not unreasonable to chase or to run.

Most good, flowing PK involves a series of fall back points that keep the winning side interested. The extra no channels meant there were more of those that allowed that PK to keep going without the one failed flee total death from 3 ice spikes problem. Basically as it stands, if DS loses dusty and runs to 1s X, you only get a chase maybe half the time if you're lucky.

Also not really all that clear cut on the who wins at no channels a lot of the time, a bunch of channies have decent HP's these days compared to the old days. Also the tactics of who wins in what room is what makes PK fun and strategic! It actually worked really well that month.

Perhaps "No Channels" should be a regular part of Monthly Changes, but I don't think they should be the same room every time. All east of camp is a primo room.

Was definitely one of the best monthly changes I had seen in a long time, that was a really nice pk addition by the imms on that part. I would love to see this become a permanent thing, like Eol said maybe the rooms can change every month.

I love this idea. The problem however is said fcs actually hitting at a no channel. We have no channels now and I can't seem to get them to hit those without overwhelming numbers.

I will use pk Friday as an example. was 4 FCs and 2 bashers vs 4 ds. We hit you all and one of us ripped in 1.5 rounds. We go friendly mobs and 2 of us get beat quickly. we go no channel and nothing....waiting....waiting...waiting. We go to different no channel, waiting. Zing turns on into zone. I yell about creating zing and fighting us at no channel and get nothing but sarcastic remarks about not having the numbers of channies I say they do.

This pretty much sums up the last 3 pk sessions i had. I am not sure more no channels are the answer unless the mentality of said channies or people leading the channies change. I suppose if the no channels are closer to their home zones or in wide open zones so they can flee easier might be the answer.

I love the idea of having more no channels, and having them move around monthly or so. Perhaps even something like the raven statues down south where it prohibits water based weaves.

The last few times I have pk'd, I end up fighting overwhelming number of channelers, to which they turn on zing and get angry that us 3-4 ds won't hit those 3-4 channelers and 2 bashers. It ultimately results in one of the parties leaving, making no pk for anyone.

Perhaps we could have something like those statues down south here in blight and around df? Doesn't necessarily have to be for just water weaves. Could be fire weaves too? I.e. you can't weave ice spikes but you can still get us with some fstrikes or vice versa. That might actually be better, still enabling channelers to keep the fight going, just limited in what they can use instead of them not being able to weave at all.
