2d5 = 25% dntyaknwBruce wrote:Don't drink the bong water.

2d5 would be somewhere around a 25% boost, I think. Assuming you get an average +6 damage boost to make the numbers easy, 24 average damage is on the decent end for most weapons (eaxe is 24 avg damage, for instance).Spyder wrote:2d5 = 25% dntyaknwBruce wrote:Don't drink the bong water.

he's right ya know... it's kinda silly but, if you took away master damage, a bunch of people would throw fits and possibly quit.Maghus wrote:i'll lay it out for you. master bonus. thats all anyone cares about. its absolutely ridiculous they have a 25% damage bonus. Does it really take the person who believes in an interdimensional alien invasion to tell you this?
Re: Can we as players generally make clanning easier?
master bonus is really cheat code playing :p I don't know that people would quit. There are still plenty of other perks as a master like postures, mob lead etc.
also would be good if bonuses were tied to things like clan/side mentoring etc. that's probably too subjective to police, but it would make for a more fun game. Markus in Boars was such a great clan leader and deservedly the clan master. If we actually had clans playing as teams rather than just a random mix of players chasing easy mode ! In fact, an unbonused PRC would be just as much if not more fun.
But like someone said on this or similar thread, if you have friends to pk /play with then it all works out. Of course that is easy to say for some people who have buddies here :p

you know i never considered that, but yeah I think the team mentality would be more positive then individual chasing of master rank. I don't have a great idea as to how to change that though, any ideas? Put your thinking caps on and let me see what you come up with.
I remember back when we first started out in the civil watch some years ago, one of the best parts was the pkers in the clan at the time like Shinobi, Rodger, Takd, etc. We pk'd together as a group a lot! That was also the most fun. wish there was a way to get that going again.

Think its natural with a smaller playerbase, imagine best bet is just to join an active clan that does the things you enjoy. Ie. if you enjoy smobbing see which clans are somewhat active during your playtime that go smobbing, or maybe start trying to put smob groups together yourself and get your name out there for fellow smobbers, dragonsworn were good for this for a bit, forresters/legion etc. as well, but activity has dropped. If you enjoy PK, much the same, see which clans are active during your playtimes and spend their time PKing. Don't think the mentality is lost, its just that with a smaller playerbase the whole "clan" activity generally has to be scheduled and isn't something that happens daily, but still occurs. Alternatively you could try to start up some of the "dead" clans, grab a like minded friend and apply for one of the less active clans - rising sun, valon guard, forresters come to mind and try to build something from that. There's still plenty of opportunities, but it is a bit more difficult with a small playerbase.
