Re: Tales of the Light
I normally refrain from responding to bullshit, however:
I made no offers for anything after Xin sent me tells asking me what I wanted for it, no mention of gear or gold whatsoever. I can't speak for anyone else, but that Xin acts as if the Defenders or I solicited him with offers is patently untrue. Regardless of whether or not you think others shouldn't have entertained the thought of putting a price on the heads of their enemies, no scalps were bought and no "cheating" occurred.
Equally on point, if mercenaries can be affiliates and paid to work towards the goals of a clan, there doesn't seem to be any reason why an assassin could not as well, being paid to bring scalps as opposed to full time service, and certainly no reason that same assassin couldn't negotiate the price of a scalp. I agree with Ellysa that the general should probably not award for scalps. Perhaps scalp awards should be handed out after the war, instead of when handed into the general. But we work with the system we got and that's a discussion for the War System discussion board after this round is over.
Lastly, Re: Hasp, you were not there. *oL hit general. We hit them. They ran and he died to guards on the way out. I have never seen a situation where being LD protected you from being scalped nor have I seen a situation where dying to mobs while you run from PCS prevented you from being scalped. Whether you argue mobs did some, most, or all of the work, the fact remains he died in PK in an enemy's city, with his opponents nearby.
In any case, I'll leave it at that. This war has seemed to bring out all manner of toxic and unbelievably biased behavior in individuals preventing any sort of objective or fair discussion of issues that occur. Perhaps the post-war discussions will be better, though that is unlikely.

Thanks.
Re: Tales of the Light
Is this the post where we complain about inconsequential things, because nothing grinds my gears more than mobs that randomly disengage. It is so infuriating. I don't me those that flee like grey men, I'm talking about the ones that just up and disengage all the time. Like shifty ogier and seanchan trackers.
Really annoying me even thinking about it right now.
