Tales of the Light
Re: Tales of the Light
If that's the case, if a side isn't an "official" affiliate (Ie. seanchan and Col), then a speculation wouldn't make seanchan scalps war points and should be void.
That is, if I was to make the rules.
Thank you for the clarification of dynamic vs OOC commentary. If that's the case, I see RP like backstory. Tales of light as ...present or forward stories.

Re: Tales of the Light
The Drowned Lands Outpost is currently (unfortunately) under shared ownership. I see no reason why the joint owners wouldn't evict an interloper before turning on each other.
Re: Tales of the Light
Stop giving seanchan scalps to the Defenders Ellysa, pretty lame!
Re: Tales of the Light
You know what else is lame? Same side scalping...
And for everyone's information, after I jokingly asked Xin how much he wanted for the scalp of the *oL he killed, he came back asking what I was offering. I laughed and told him it was a joke, because I would never cheat the system like that. He tried to convince me it was OK to broker a deal for the scalp, and I said I had too much honor for that, unlike the *oL that insists on same side scalping.

Re: Tales of the Light
My understanding of the affiliates system is that it's for unclanned and clans that don't have a general, not for random encounters where more than two warring clans are involved in a fight. For clans that have generals you have the ability to join up with an alliance.
Re: Tales of the Light
Both Fuujin and Hadis made offers on the scalp. I pretended Anor was matching their bids to see how high they would go.
The point is, you shouldn't be rewarded for kills you are not involved in and had nothing to do with your war. It's like killing a trolloc who has scalps in his pack from earlier and you turning them in for war points. Clearly you didn't get the kills and the kills had nothing to do with the war.
It should be considered cheating and you should be penalised for it.

Re: Tales of the Light
It should also be considered cheating to same side scalp. Yuo are scalping a person you didn't kill to bypass the mechanic used to track the war successes. Yet, the *oL have done it more than once.
Re: Tales of the Light
Twice and Kryzen returned because he had done out of habit.
Zhao was full when leaving Tear and died LD to gate guards....so not really just same side scalping. As I see it both ways at least explain the whole story instead of spewing dung.
