So unclanneds who have have no desire to join a specific clan but do want to protect their home land or a land, automatically get warranted despite never stepping foot in the attacking nations lands.

I think they should be banished but not warranted.

if unclanneds assisting in wars aren’t attacking the other nation but defending a nation, its not right they get hunted by theifbane and npc/PC mercenaries/thiefbane.

Trying to force people into clans to avoid warrants though they will be warranted anyway for being in the clan at war, sounds wrong.

And question again altered. What happens to clanned warrants after a war ends? Do both sides keep all their warrants despite the war beIng over?

As a response in general, as well:

If you think some of it is unfair, you're damn right it is. This is war. If you participate, don't expect anything to be fair.

This is our first iteration of things, though, so do please continue to give feedback. I do not want to dissuade that. I do want to dissuade any notion that this is somehow supposed to be fair. A balanced war is a stalemate. The point of a war system is to give wars finality.

You can't walk into a city and kill mobs without the risk of getting a warrant.

Have to agree with the others on this really. If you, an unclanned character, decide to choose a side and take part in a war, you have become the opposition's enemy. You shouldn't be able to walk around into Amador/Emonds Field/Andor etc, and kill some clanned players/their general and think you're to be given a free pass and remain unwarranted.

Depending on your attitude and the letter of request for a pardon you send, unless you're being a complete dick then you'll more than likely receive and easy and doable quest. I can tell you some of the pardon quests I have because I was a dick. I have to march into TKD to kill a mob for being a dick to get a FD warrant removed.

I have to kill Suroth and the Emperor for being a dick.

I have some quests however, that are much easier to.do because I wasn't an ass about it.

I agree. That should be an auto-warrant. Now tell me WTF Thiefbane has to do with any of this? Kill a coachman, sure. Kill a boat Captain. Absolutely. Kill some random mob in a random city and they also get to warrant you? Nope. Not seeing that one.

Exactly why should Mr. Unclanned get special aggro powers and be immune to warrants inside the war system for the exact same activity that would get his helpful ass warranted and hunted by the clan and TB outside of the war system?

By the nation they are defending? These people are vigilantes attempting to take the law into their own hands in those nations.

This is absurd.

They'll get the warrants if they join a clan, so I'm not sure what you're trying to say. They have a choice to not get a warrant by not attacking someone.

They may pursue pardons. Let's get to that bridge, and then try crossing it?

clearly you missed my post above, so I will repeat:

Thiefbanes are thief takers. Serving a valid warrant is not murder. Serving warrants is their job. Presumably, Thiefbane has treaties with various nations for hunting rights. They get to hunt Mr. Unclanned until Mr. Unclanned realizes his stupidity and gets his helpful self pardoned.

There are some inno mobs that warrant you for Thiefbane. These include:

Herbalists
Shopkeepers
Grocers
Butchers
Etc.

I don't think regular *oL/RE/Andor clan mobs issue TB warrants. So you're more than likely killing dung you shouldn't be if you have a TB warrant.
