It was mid-morning on the 14th day of the month of Tammaz, year 1234. A large silver box, encrusted with jewels from all over the world arrived in Tar Valon for Cadsuane Melaidhrin. It followed the arrival of their emissary Nevirha Sedai of the Gray Ajah and Sitter in Tear. No doubt it was a sign talks with the Council of the Defenders of the Stone had gone well. The incredible box was so heavy from all the silver and gem stones it took two Valon Guard to carry the hefty gift up the winding staircase of the White Tower.
Relations between the White Tower and Tear had always been delicate and Nevirha Sedai was the most qualified to handle such delicate of matters. She took with her a personal invitation from Yasmin that would see her past the border safely. It was quite a precarious situation as this meeting had taken many months to arrange and Yasmin saw to it that it would be on her terms and at her convenience.
It was like a spectacle for the citizens of Tear to witness Nevirha’s arrival as she was guided through to the square where Yasmin met her. An escort of Defenders kept the crowds at bay as she toured through the city to the White Domed Palace.
Yasmin had risen quickly through the ranks to become one of the youngest council members in the history of the Defenders of the Stone. She was born and raised in Tear, trained from a young age by Tear’s best Captains. Amongst Tairens she was known to be a relentless and fierce. She was gorgeous, always fashionably dressed but this façade hid the cold, calculating soldier that would kill anything that crossed her. The lords of Tear supported her with such passionate belief she would bring only glory to Tear and complete destruction of Tear’s enemies.
It is not known what was actually said in the White Domed Palace that day. Although many pieces of an intricate puzzle were soon to fall in place as Cadsuane opened that extravagant silver box in her study on the top floor of the spiralling White Tower.
Cadsuane soon gasped in absolute horror, the Amyrlin seat could not contain her emotion as this glorious gift she anticipated to be a step towards a peaceful resolution with Tear was actually the gift of nightmares. The smell of clotted blood seeped through the study as the keeper rushed to gaze upon the contents of the box. Cadsuane sobbing in agony at the sight of her beloved friend, sister and emissary’s head whom she had sent to her death in Tear.
It was true there were many issues within the ranks of the White Tower and not all shared the same sentiments and desire to find a peaceful solution with Tear. Aes Sedai had broken Oaths, others were acting deceptively and there were more problems appearing by the day. It had taken them too long to act, their own members had continued to create new issues and perhaps there was some truth to Yasmin’s earlier words. Nevirha Sedai did not deserve this though. This was Yasmin’s message though as cruel, sickeningly cold and enraging it was.
These were dark times.
The world was closer to breaking than it had ever been before. Yasmin was raising an army in Tear, bolstering security of the Stone and taking every measure she could to ensure prophecies would not be fulfilled. More and more false dragons were appearing and those sworn had reportedly been plotting to raid the Stone of Tear. The arrogance, entitlement and actions of Aes Sedai, Gaidin and others required a strong message.
The White Tower had been propping up Mayene politically with financial aid and support for years to ensure some level of control in the region. Yasmin had made claim that Kerryk who led the Illian Companions was in fact a darkfriend after he so publicly banished the Shienaran Lancers from Illian.
Tear was fast becoming a super power and the White Tower was losing their control in the region. There had been no reports from their eyes and ears since the banishment commenced which only highlighted the reach, intelligence and control the Defenders of the Stone had accomplished.
As Cadsuane sobbed, unable to maintain her usual composure, her face running with tears that soaked her dress, a carrier pigeon arrived through the balcony to drop a parchment on her desk. Unfolding it as she moved out of the study to breath the fresh air of Tar Valon on her balcony. It was a report from Amadicia.
Yasmin had been meeting with the Children of Light.
The Silver Box
Re: The Silver Box
I always found it bad form to take other people's characters or in game persona which you do not controll and try to force RP on them: I for one would never believe Cadsuane to actually cry over some backwater hillbilly who rose to some level of command in the Tairen self-defence militia..
If you write RP stories, write them from your own perspective, or from an allknowing narrators perspective if you want. First person perspectives from people/mobs you do not command in an RP mud is in my opinion not done due to RP constraints towards other players/imms/etc

Re: The Silver Box
I believe Cadsuane was crying over the Gray Ajah Sitter's head inside the box. Which could be a fair assumption in my opinion.
Re: The Silver Box
Did you two read the books?
Cadduane was centuries old And hard as nails. She would Not cry About that kind of thing..
My point stands
