I miss the good ol days of pk with good leaders. Now it's either no ds on, and all ls smobbing, or else the odd "afk-pk" excitement and/or jaded-leaders. Wondering if we can rustle up 4-5 pkers on either side with a competent leader each. I will settle for 3 though if we are player starved.
No return/exceptional rules stuff - the only thing we would be coordinating crossrace is play time (just like a real life game). Whoever else is online and pking is welcome to join. A good enough leader can move pk around accordingly.

As with all things like this which are getting planned: I forsee lots of crapping, whining and complaining.
Remember that this is a free PK mud, and if you "agree" on having a 3vs3 or 5vs5 or whatever, and other people log on, it can quickly go in other directions. People will complain about getting ganked if like 2-3 more people come then they expected ("hey! didnt we agree on 3 vs 3?!").
You can plan all you want, but dont expect others who might log on (not talking about myself per se, but more in general) to adhere to your arrangements/etc if they walk in on your little pre-arranged DM arena thingie.
The main thing to solve your problem is to stimulate people to play actively and:
1) get DSers to log back on their alts by making playing DS fun and worthwhile again (take a good decent look at balance north of FD, raiding balance, mob lead, bonusses for LS which are denied for DS, trolloc clan bonusses, more end-game options for trollocs only)
2) prevent LSers to spend all their time smobbing (down heralds, tweek IOMM) which is nowadays insanely more rewarding then PKing

I see your point razhak but I think the point of this was setting up times for LEADERS to be on each given side to promote the best form of pk.

When looking for Pk, I will usually hit scout until he narrates 2-4 times. Then I'll wait Gap for 5-10 tics. Then if nothing, I'll roam around.
My point is, the scouts are amazing and should be used all the time for anyone looking for PK. They literally spam an entire sides global communications. I don't use Discord as I don't like to be baited or bitched at or seeing people complain when they die. So I use the scouts in game to communicate with my opponents. I would invite everyone to do so. Don't ask on Discord "Pk anyone?" instead go hit scout and wait 5 tics. That's about the time it takes anyone willing to Pk to get to you or near you.
Keep to 1N 1E of Goat Patty takes a good chunk of a trolls moves and FD to Gap takes 1-2 tics of resting for a well eqed horse. So hearing the narrate and checking Blight or checking Dusty is unrealistic. If you see the narrate go off, the person setting it off is probably resting moves for 2-3 tics. So ride out and meet them!

P.S. Don't kill the bloody scouts! Takes forever for them to repop and destroys chances at finding Pk.

Razhak did you even read what I posted? I said that whoever was online was free to join in. Maybe the title was misleading. The entire point of having a few people on either side with a competent leader is that a small group with a good leader can handle twice the numbers by moving around zones etc. It will at least make for fun pk.
Grizzler, I posted this on the heels of DAYS of logging on, hitting scout, clearing south blight, checking tracks RK, and sometimes out of sheer boredom, working on spams inside RK on a human alt, in the hope that someone would be online. I did this every few hours. The only "excitement" was a certain remort trying to kill me afk - this was the only "pk" I came across in the entire time.
So yes, scouts are great, but what I am hoping for is that we have even a few regular players who can coordinate some playtime over the week, and we actually get some pk in. Hopefully it pulls in other players - unlike what Razhak thinks, I think everyone committed to pk would welcome more numbers.

My general play times are 8-10 PM EST.
And I will gladly lead a group if this does not interfere with the DS Hierarchical system. (IE. I won't lead if a Remort or higher ranking troll wants to lead)
