Killing AFK newbies

This isn't okay.

Lovely screens made up of a light sand colored wood decorate the south wall
of the dark stone building that stands in the shadow of the Imperial
Palace. These screens have lovely pink and yellow blossoms made up of
inlaid bits of stone on them. Long tables have been set up, with stack upon
stacks of books piled high as the officers of the Hailene pour through
them, looking for details on the lands of the Oathbreakers. Nailed to the
far wall is a torn and bloodstained flag of the Children of the Light.
Doors lead to rooms in all directions but the south.

East: A young Morat'torm carries out the orders of his superiors.
West: A young Morat'torm carries out the orders of his superiors.
A woman hums softly as she goes about her duties.

Office of the Hailene
This wide open room is made up of richly stained wooden walls, and a thick
cream carpet beneath. Placed all around the room are plants in various pots
with little name tags on them. These are specimens collected from the
Oathbreakers land and brought back to be examined before they are presented
to the Empress. A door to the east leads back out into the street, while a
door to the west leads deeper into the Hailene headquarters.

Weary and coated in dust, a merchant stands here.
A seaman with sun darkened skin harks to the command of his captain.

Breeding Specimen Area
Large steel cages hold some creatures brought back from the land of the
Oathbreakers for the Imperial philosophers to study in depth. Large black
velvet quilts have been thrown over the cages in order to calm down
whatever creatures are within. Buckets of water have been placed at the
edges of the cages along with a wheel barrow full of meat for feeding time.
The floor here is made up of dark bare stone.

East: Sniffing at the air, a lizard as black as gleaming tar towers here.

There is no preamble. I was afk inside the city. I was exploring. When I returned, I saw I was in the Circle of Light. I scrolled back to see that he had looked at me, seen my equipment, and then killed me for it. He then refused to return it and threatened to kill me again when I told him I was going to report him to his superiors.

Unfortunately, some places are dangerous. You were wise to use a low level character to explore such places, and unwise to go AFK in them.
