A gentle pull on the reigns was enough to bring Jael's horse to a slow stop at the outskirts of the village.

The gathering of townsfolk and Town Watch was enough to draw his view to what held their attention. His mouth twisting in distaste, his initial reaction was to turn his horse right back around and go back in the direction he came.

Glancing over his shoulder to his wagon and the many unsold wares it contained, he heaved a sigh of resignation and nudged his horse back into motion, in search of the nearest inn.

Aishana pulled at the hood of her cloak uncomfortably as she hurried past the gruesome scene. She had other things to worry about this morning; food to buy and a pile of clothes to launder for her mistress. It would be a long day of service ahead...but she wondered aloud, 'What kind of creature could have done such a thing?'

Having just passed the gruesome scene, Mariel clutched a fist to her breast, her face aghast and heart about to beat out of her chest. Mariel bent down on the ground to upright her basket and gather items that spilled out. Never before had she seen so much gore. A quiet life was all she wanted and hoped to lead. How can I feel safe again, she wondered. There will be many sleepless nights ahead.

Carlia is sitting in the back of the inn eating breakfast when the news spreads through the common room of the tragedy.

"What ever happened to those peaceful villages where nothing bad happened?"

Rig sat near the door, eyeing people as they came into the tavern.

'Murderers and darkfriends everywhere!' he exclaims as he takes another swig of ale.

Jaster arrived winded from an obvious, fast paced walk or run. "Folks, this is terrible for our town to endure such carnage. Forgive me for being out of breath, but I was chasing the two individuals that I saw with blood on their cloaks from the scene of the incident." Jaster exclaims, "Aishana and Carlia! Has anyone see them? Call the guards!"

As the sun set upon the small village on Toman Head, people appeared to have heeded the Mayor's advice. Many returned to their own homes, avoiding the gruesome sight. Outside the town, the army maintained their camp, soldiers relentlessly patrolling the perimeter, far enough from the town so as not to be part of the town, but close enough to make their menacing presence felt.

The Mayor sank into a chair in his own house, a fire burning on the hearth in front of him and a stiff drink in his hand. He had sent men to clean up the mess and he knew they would need extra pay for such grisly work. But that wasn't what concerned him. How had this happened, in the middle of town, with not a single witness? His forehead furrowed in frustration and not a little bit of fear. He had to get to the bottom of this soon, before his people started to take things into their own hands.

Day One has ended without a lynch. It is now Night One. Deadline is Thursday, December 28 at 11:30 am Eastern.

**Please note that the night phase can and will end early once I receive all night actions. You may not change your action once it is sent, so please be sure.

The sun rose bright and cheerful, in glaring opposition to the mood of the town. The Mayor was hesitant to leave his home, afraid of what this day would bring, but he knew he must.

Stepping out into the street, he was immediately met with wails. There had been more death in the night. Scrubbing his face with his hands, he made his way to the first house. The sight made him lose his breakfast. Blood was everywhere, splashed on the walls like paint. Though no body could be found, bits and pieces of flesh and bone told the tale.
With dread, he moved on to the next house. There, a body lay on the floor, his throat slashed.

He went outside again and addressed those that gathered.

"We must remain calm. Let the town watch do their jobs! If you have seen anything suspicious, report it. Now, return to your homes and go about your business."

Chernobog the Darkfriend (Mafia Traiter) has been dessicated Night One.
Jaster the Seanchan Guard (Seanchan Protector) has had his throat slit Night One.

It is now Day Two. The deadline is set for Friday, December 29 at 12:30 pm Eastern time.

Arthor heard the cries in the morning. He crawled to his window clutching his stomach and looked out. Overcome, he wretched into his chamber pot. He returned to his window slowly and peered out he noticed another freshly painted house. Where in the light is everyone getting this lovely shade of red!?!

A loud noise startled him and he rushed back to his pot and made it just as his stomach purged. The bucked glowed eerily and Arthor drug it near his bed. Such a light forsaken shame to be sick on such a beautiful day.

Arthor threw his raggedy blanket over his body as he shivered violently. Oh Light! I sure wish I will feel better tomorrow. Sleep came, but not easily, accompanied with night sweats and fever dreams.

Firimei woke to her children shaking her.
'Mama , mama wake. A bad man and one who is unknown is still.'

Rubbing her temples, she got dressed hurriedly and stepped outside. A gathering had already assembled in the square. Words of a darkfriend no longer made her sigh with happiness. Another had perished, one Seanchan.

The invaders of a troubled land of dispute. It was always hard to explain the gray area that weren't trollocs to her children. Children saw only black and white at such a small age.
She gathered supplies while her children clung to her skirts. Then after brief conversation returned to her home.
