You brush off several beggars as you walk by, lying to them and claiming you have nothing for them as you make your way through the bazaar. A child runs past you and snatches your purse and takes off through the bazaar, damn pick pockets.. A dark alley leads you astray from the normal market run and you eventually catch the little brat and begin scolding him and even looking for a switch to beat him with for his crimes of thievery before a man appears behind you startling you... He holds your purse in one hand and a card with a heron symbol on a long blade in the other... He hands your purse back with a smirk and warns you to be more careful.. You recognize the symbol and nod at the man, and ask about the sketch on the card... The man nods and beckons you to follow him.. winding through smaller alleys and eventually a dead end.. you begin to lose your temper and demand to know where this figment of a heron long sword is between that and being filched by a child your frustration is at an all time high as you begin berating him verbally and accusing him of lying.. the man stares at you blankly, you feel the presence of more men but, see no one armed but the small man in front of you... a beggar stands and asks you to relax, all is fine..
"is this what you have come for?"
The beggar you brushed aside earlier smiles under a hooded gaze and removes the burlap of a covered blade.. the mark of a heron etched into the hilt, a true heron marked longsword in pristine condition..
"as many necklaces, gold rings, and belts of cuendillar as possible.. we will entertain jeweled wristcuffs"
You hear a scream of a child behind you and turn abruptly, scanning the alley ahead there seems to be some commotion but, when you turn the beggar and the man are both gone... as is the sword.. a card lays on the bare alley floor with the sketch of necklaces and rings on it..
"return here, and we will be waiting"
as quickly as it had happened, it was gone... you set back towards the actual bazaar clutching your purse tightly and walking briskly.
a heron marked long blade
Re: a heron marked long blade
we will consider pairs of dirks as well.. or a triple bladed dagger.
