She held out her hand without taking her eyes from the horse and waited. And waited. And waited some more. Finally she turned. Her stupid assistant was passed out on the floor. Heaving a huge sigh, she went to the cupboard and prepared the drug herself. Stabbing the needle into the horses neck, she muttered to herself about idiots and pills. When she was done, she stood back and admired her work. But a nagging thought tugged at her. If everyone else is doing it, maybe she ought to be doing it too?
