Also - someone did step in. Alaina had a real issue seeing the "'c-word!!!!" spelled out (even when it was not referring to her as that -- literally just the word and mocking her use of "c-word") and someone made a pretty hilarious forum filter for it. I don't know anyone else who has gotten such direct attention to their need to be babied about a certain word that strikes the perfect balance of being extremely offensive but does not have a historically hateful connotation.
It was someone directly relating that C word to Alaina which upset her. The repercussions weren't known to the offender of such word, likely washed over by now. I had someone swear at me years and years ago, although I doubt they personally thought me a bad person. Sometimes its a bad day etc, but I have learnt the hard way to leave that crap away from the game. It isn't always easy to do, especially with some people riling others up and wanting to see reactionary comments.
You just have to know the other person must be having it bad, and your life is much better than insulting each other in game. People have tempers and also get pushed too far then all #hellmud breaks loose.
I commend Krul for admitting his faults, wasn't aware of them. So why should you ridicule him now? This thread is , about rebuilding the game or whatnot. Sometimes flames aren't needed to feel good about yourself.
