Is WotMUD boring or am I doing something wrong?
Is WotMUD boring or am I doing something wrong?
First off I would like to state that the title to this post was merely to attract attention to this post as I'm looking for responses.
I love the wot setting. I love the concept of muds but I'm not sure that I'm doing things right. My background with muds are very minimal.
I'm currently a level 7 human warrior with about 6 hours of play time.
My sessions consist of fighting some animals and miniel human mobs and doing crier quests in Came and a few other neighboring cities.
My problem is that Im finding this a bit boring. As I said originally I like the concepts of muds and my background with them is limited. So that means that I'm missing something. What more can I do? I really don't know how to progress or up my game. I also don't know what other options or features there are. Surely there must be more to this than killing elk...
Thanks!!!

Re: Is WotMUD boring or am I doing something wrong?
Things will start picking up when you hit level 25. Then you can start exploring more dangerous areas, or go with groups to take down smobs without risk of dying too quickly. You can clan, which opens up a slew of other quests, and you can start fighting other players a few levels later, too.
There is a steep (and sometimes boring) learning curve and the best parts of the game lie beyond level 25. Even now though, you can learn your way from city to city, do the crier quests there, as well as Clive, Miloh and adventurer quests.

The early levels are an xp grind. It sucks, there's no way to sugar coat that. That said, this game is also a game that offers a platform for fun, but doesn't necessarily deliver it to you. The game is what you make it. The tools are here to do a myriad of things, but ultimately it boils down to what you'd like to do. Some enjoy exploring and wandering around, some like teaming up with others to fight super mobs, some like to act as their characters and role play with the player base and others thrive in pitting their skills against others in player killing.
Like Rodurnon said, if you see me around feel free to message me and we can slog a few levels or I can show you some super mobs.

As you get higher level, remember if someone red or purple comes along, run away!
