Nice, I've been waiting so long for the sequel, I'd almost forgotten about the series! Still waiting on the new Kingkiller book from Patrick Rothfuss... waiting.... waiting...

Someday I hope to kick back and crack open a fresh new purchase of the final book to kill the time as I wait for my grandkids to visit me in the retirement home.

Things went from 3 to 11 within the last few chapters of Words of Radiance, so we'll see where he goes from there. I'll pick it up to support Sanderson's work, but this next release didn't excite me as much as the continuation of the post-Mistborn saga.

The second Mistborn trilogy (soon to be tetralogy in 2019?) was a fun read, but I feel like the consistency of the magic system gets a little out of whack as he tried to build a system of science off of it. I sometimes couldn't follow how exactly the magic was working out even after the explanation, which is pretty atypical. I do appreciate his creativity in developing a form of science from what is essentially a big ol' creationist universe. I also dig how the greater Cosmere is coming together, it's a pretty phenomenal task and better executed than pretty much anything of equal ambition besides the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

I'm passively excited...will buy the book and read it sometime in next few months, after skimming Words of Radiance to refresh. It's just hard to really get excited for book 3 in a 10+ book series :p

Also, firetruck Rothfuss and his doritos-laced beard. Honestly won't be surprised if he doesn't finish the series, at this point.

Agreed. Except you left out the Cheetos stained fingers.

Also kinda don’t like how it evolves around the university. He can go have multiple excursions then come back to the university to lead a normal life again like nothing happened and keep chasing that heart breaking *person who works for pimps*(censored terminology)

Edgedancer is basically Stormlight 2.5, while you wait.
