gray stone line the street, their sloped roofs topped with prominent
chimneys. A stack of new shingles lies near one of the buildings and
ladders have been propped up against it. A pile of broken and rotted
shingles lies within throwing distance of the roof. Occasionally, one can
hear a crash as another shingle is added to the pile.

least two stories high and has whitewashed walls with clean windows and two
bright lanterns burning out front, day and night. It looks like the place
where traveling merchants and dignitaries were most likely to spend a night
if they were caught this far out in the country.
