The horse confuses me...

Cool log, well played by Cannibal.

I think the horse engaging, was to remove the chance of eating a stab while running an otherwise unengaged ice spike.

Smart move (if a stabber was around), but should have fled off and done it repeatedly rather than run two more ice spikes while engaged.

She engaged the horse because her ice spike wouldn't engage her on me, which gets around my bonus. But my missed bash disengaged me, ending up like this.

Looks to me like it was to avoid him switching targets to her; she is engaged on the horse so spiking him does not engage her on cannibal so he can't switch to her. She got unlucky/cannibal got lucky in that he got a disengage bash right when her spike got off, so it engaged him on her. She didn't get to see this because he didn't get a combat round before he started next bash. It was a really smart plan by her and would have worked most of the time, just bad luck.
