General discussion time since I'm sure it's been beyond the thirty days.
Personally, I think adding random qps awards for smobs has been one of the greatest encouraging changes for the playerbase in general. It's a change everyone loves and brings in a factor of every smob is possibly worthwhile hitting. As it stands, smob groups were doing well at getting together to help re-eq the fallen/needy/whatever for the sake of a chance at that qps reward. Giving people an incentive to assist in the hitting of smobs when they don't necessarily need the eq was a very clever and very positive change.
This has started to drop off however given the real irregularity at the rewards and the fact that people can hit 5, 10 and 20 smobs and not receive a qp at all.
I am not sure how the rewarding system works, but I've been given theories on how it possibly works. In any case, I think the rewards are fair for the SMOB (ie irregularly awarding 1-2qps with every now and again a 'jackpot' of a few extra).
My suggestion is to make this somewhat more regular/consistent in order to keep this encouragement going. It is something that really does revitalise LS which in turn feeds more PK back to the more PK centric sides (DS/LS).
I sense the shift from management being that they want QPs/coin to be more valuable, but I think this offers alternatives to PK for those less PK focused clans a way to progress their character. I'm really not sure QP bloat is necessarily a problem, especially when it comes to something that directly encourages play and people to get together.
