Lets just agree that the worst thing about channelers is giving them a 7? pulse long bashing weave.

Does earthquake/sonic boom hit all in your group?

I think it would be nice to create/modify a spell so that it just hits everyone in room but for minimum damage...which would enable one channeler to kind of 'protect' their group from getting weaved on while damaging everyone. Was just thinking about this with the amount of dreadlords/channelers in general.

earthquake hits everyone except yourself and the horse you're riding, sonic boom has a longer timer but doesn't hit your own group if you are leading, so boom might be worthwhile for a dreadlord vs multiple channelers, but the timer on it is same as ice spikes, so chances are you won't get it off before getting weaved yourself. Earthquake has the shortest timer, but hits your own group, so not sure if its viable, in that you're basically doing the same dmg to your own trollocs as you are to the other side.

Would be awesome if Slice worked actually - let's say it was 1 pulse short or same pulse as Flame strike (Though ponr might make that useless) - then a channeler could protect a group without adding any more damage around that. More channelers could simply mean them cancelling each other out etc without adding damage. Also if slice cost way fewer sps, then could make door fights different :p

Anyway I haven't thought this through so who knows impact. In the books Slice seemed pointless - but I like the idea of there being one surefire way to cancel an opponent's weave, without adding damage per se.

Also, with slice, Accepted vs DL would still work out fine if the Accepted is basically just cutting off a DL's weaves with her fewer sps.

In the books slice was the main weave channelers used against one another. A common channeling battle consisted of one channeler slicing another's shields, fire etc. Think of when Nynaeve and Moghedian went at it in the Tanchico Palace. Slice vs slice

I digress. I don't have too much of a problem with slice weave now except I wish it did a tiny bit of emote damage such as a wince when your weave snaps back at you.
