Sounds like deathmatch mud... thought this was NWIH list?

What about all the work dozens of people before put into world building and making this place what it is? Just erasing their contributions?
I'm one of the types that is only here because of the open world sandbox of RJ's world, delete that and...

I'd like to tell you, don't worry. But I imagine you will anyway, and that's alright. See what happens, then weigh in. We're not shrinking the world solely by removing areas, we're making it feel more intimate, I chose those words specifically because in large part this has to do with mobility, and making the world more accessible more quickly (faster travel) than it does in shrinking it. However, the area you'll have available to play in will be much more 'dense' feeling. There will be a lot going on within it.

If you just like walking around in RJ's world like it's a park, you may be a bit distraught in the coming months. If you just like walking around in RJ's world like it's a theme park, if you play because you want to get sucked into the narrative that RJ created, you'll be quite happy. As to the work of those who came before, I've made sure to ask them if they're ok with what I intend to do with their work. No one has said no, and it has intrigued some enough to come back to play and help with the task. I do not believe that you will be unhappy with the change, however I know not everyone will be happy always. We will see, and I hope you do like what is to come.
Thank you for the response Vampa, I will try not to worry... I am excited that you, Ely, and the rest of the team are exuberant about how you feel this new direction will improve the world here at WoTmud. I believe that a high percentage of the new people who come to see what WoTmud is all about are here because it is based on the Wheel of Time and keeping true to that world in geography has always been an important aspect for me personally. I still hope to one day see Rhuidean and Ebou Dar, the last two major book locations I feel we are lacking.

I would like to make a comment about the recent zone changes to hopefully influence the upcoming ones before I sit back and wait to see what you all come up with. When most of the recent changes have been made to choke up football fields there has been a trend to quickly make these changes and not account for room descriptions. Roads that travel through these zones are not diverted but cut off completely, this is fine but when the room description says the road continues east and I have to walk around a maze to get back to that other side of a connection that has been cut to continue on the road it takes a lot out of the immersion. Even if these changes take longer because it is more work to properly re-work a zone I beg you guys to take that time.

Thank you.

EDITED because I can't respond to above post without being mean.

Thanks, Immortals. I think most of us appreciate all that you do for us.

Did I come off as unappreciative? Did I not say thank you enough?

I don't believe they meant you were being unappreciative, just ingratiating.

You make an excellent point, if the name of the Bugs forum is not clear enough as to what it relates to, and you have a suggestion as to a more apt name, it'd be greatly appreciated if you could post specifically where you see that there so we can determine whether or not it is actually a bug, or else if it's a feature.

Thank you for your diligence and attention to detail

When I re-mapped Braem Wood NE of Caemlyn, North Road zone, and Almoth/Arad Doman changes I feel like I found dozens of these types of instances. I will try and go back over it all and put together a list to try and help out.

I had to google: ingratiating

Then definitely post those in bugs, we haven't touched any of those, yet. That's previous work and we'd love to know what we can fix, but if it's not too much to ask, either post them as individual threads based on zone, or all at once to typos and include which area it is in the post.

Thank you very much, and anything you see in the future, please share that too!

I'm not opposed to awarding you, a quest point per error, two for those in dialogue (not a room description, but someone speaking to you or the general area) for each thing you find.

However, you'll need to mail me each time you do, directly, this isn't something I can add to the load of anyone else, as they're all actually doing all the work and I'm looking for ways to be useful.

Careful, you might get trampled under the weight of your mailbox with all the Thuvia, Paj, and Eol mails you going to get. Those guys rock this type of stuff.

Been advised of my naivety by more than you in a short time, heh. Per zone, not per room :)
