tracert wotmud.org

I lost connection last night and haven't been able to connect since. I did a tracert wotmud.org and it says Request timed out starting on the 8th hop and says every hop after that is timed out through the 30th. Anyone have any insight on how to fix it or is it just a waiting game?

Did tracert work before? I'm not home to verify but I know the mud servers have ping disabled, perhaps that blocks tracert as well? Anyway hopefully it fixes itself for you.

so we have been having this same problem since mid may... our tracert game.wotmud.org stops at a verizon backbone, hops over to liquidweb then times out. any thoughts on how to get back to wotmud? we don't seem to have any trouble loading any web pages or wotmud.org.

AFAIK no one can successfully run a tracert to wotmud. I can connect to wotmud in CMUD atm, but my tracert also times out at liquidweb: http://i.imgur.com/8VPLGGA.png

You can't tracert because of DoS protection

So, why can't we login to CMUD on our laptop at home, but can from an public wifi....any clue?

Possibly auto reconnected too many times and got the firewall ban?

It doesn't look like the IPs you've logged on with fall under any ban. Note that I can't check on firewall bans though. Do you get any message when you try to connect? Firewall bans reportedly make the game completely invisible when you're trying to connect.

I once had trouble connecting too and tried another client, maybe that works?
