think we had 6 on with 310+ hps yesterday?

My channies are currently my favourite chars so I don't really want to suggest downing them - but I do think dodge should be upped and channie hps should be downed.

I definitely think the stat malus should be removed from female dreadlords if its still there..

I wish Shzrei could remort to a dreadlord :(

This is the problem with public opinion. Too many stupid people are allowed to post. You have likely the two best channelers currently playing stating that there are glaring issues with channelers. Then there is some random guy stating 'you're just staying still bro!!'. Spam fleeing does PK not make my friend. It's fine in a large group fight but we are talking about channelers overall.

I'm ok with the damage, the multiple weaves on a target, and the whole host of other things that channelers currently have (i.e. what makes channelers fun and unique). But they need to be glass cannons. You also have to consider the amount of sps they recover per tics vs the hps you recover per tic. Another ice spike will be done much faster than the hps you recover. This again is also fine with me but it needs to be balanced by the fact that if I do land a bash I want some solid damage done to that FC. My FC has 331 hps I think and I made Ta'veran sitting in a room spamming weaves and eating bashes. My second FC has 320 hps. Davor had similar hps with 16 con way back when.

I'm curious what Hope thinks needs changing with channelers practices though? I can afford everything I would ever need as a pure offensive channeler which is balanced. If I wanted to be somewhat hybrid between Smob/PK I would have to make sacrifices etc. It's actually a well made class it's just become out of hand.

A solo unclanned FC can smoke any class in the game. Even Lycunt has stated this and likely executed it.

Would it be possible to have large maluses to combo for < 19 str..?

Apart from conservative play style ( which can't be coded to prevent) I've not seen huge issues - but haven't ever played the class.

I miss these discussions. I do believe some of you are making this too complicated with your multipliers and your sps. One of the more productive threads, in my opinion, over the years was one where we simply talked balance. Not RP. It basically went: Big, sustained damage, low survivability. High potential reward, high potential risk.

Anyone remember level 18-ish Tariella (sp?) vs Zork around Cair? Mesa's char was it?
