HPs and rerolls

Something I'm curious and uncertain about. HPs and rerolls.

Are reroll HPs based on your current level, regardless of the maximum level your char has reached?

Scenario: Petra is level 40, with 300 HP. She has previously been level 51, so her current HPs are the max for level 51.

Petra rerolls at level 40.

Option A) The HPs shown in her rerolls are based on being level 40. So she rerolls to HPs of 290, and then has 11 levels of potential HP increase.

Option B) The HPs shown in her rerolls are based on level 51, despite her now being level 40.

I'm unsure but I was strongly advised to be lvl 51 for rerolls.

The reason being that if my character rolls 3 rerolls with 19 con at lvl 51.. there is the potential that one of those rerolls might get 2 2 2 2 (not actually but you get the idea) and another might get 0 0 0 0 - if I reroll at lvl 40 there is no way to know which one it will be?

Yea if option A happens then she should level. If people vouch for option B then she can reroll now.

I'm fairly certain I've rerolled a character and then gained HPs afterwards when leveling. Not 100%, but pretty sure. However, it is still better to get to 51, just so you know 100% what your final HP will be imo.

It did not haopen to me. I was around level 40 and i got zero rerolls. i was also bonded ao it negated 15 hps. i was told this was working correctly. I took the highest reroll offeres and ended up with 386 as 18 18 19.

IMO you should relevel.

I have definitely gotten hp rolls on rerolled alts. In one case really lucky rolls otw to 51 after reroll. Whether its best practice to 51 first or not, I cant say. Personally I try to so theres no guessing while selecting.

I've suspected for a long time that reroll hps don't take into account the hp rolls after level 30. As in, they generally seem to be about what you would have with X con at level 30.

I've definitely had characters roll hps after being rerolled. If both things are true then it's wisest to delevel to 30!

Edit: or I am tripping and your max HP doesn't get reduced when deleveling from 51-30..

If you level to 51, then delevel to 30, then relevel to 51, you'll arrive at the same max HP you had at the first time you hit level 51. Does deleveling to 30, rerolling, and releveling to 51 produce different level 30-51 HP rolls?

I always thought about it like Shzrei does, might as well give yourself the most number of chances for "rolling" 2 HPs between level 31 and 51 by being level 51 when you reroll, but that implies that there's not some weird stuff going on in the coding, which definitely could be happening. The # of people I've seen with 17 con and 410+ HP after rerolls is crazy!

I think what really needs to be addressed is the shitty 18 con hps that keep showing up. I've rerolled a lot of chars, and every single time my 18 con rerolls come up with 355-370 hps. For example I just rerolled my ss hunter from 19 12 16 19 18 368 hps(shitty hps from last reroll) to a 19 19 18 with 360 hps but with better mentals, all the other 18/17 rolls were all sub 365 hps. I feel cheated since Eviscerator keeps rolling 400+ hps with 17 con, I demand justice! Rerolled a 18 18 18 to a 19 19 18 with 364 hps, thankfully he rolled to a 19 18 19 at his 300s, and my 19 19 17 367 to 19 19 18 with 371.
