Why is there such a hate on for rogues?

I honestly had the most fun back when there were 0 no hides and you could roll on engaged targets but thats just me. Those were the days of real pk and those days are gone unfortunately. My opinion of course which I am entitled and no amount of 'wotmud forum logic' will ever change that. I have a ko'bal master and a bt that will probably just collect dust forever now which appears to be a-ok with the community. What can you do.

Totally agree. Cant help but feel fortunate that I have the option to dreadlord my Ko'bal master.

But to do the account recovery, since they're being finicky about my responses to their terrible automated recovery thing, needs them to call my house phone. Well if you wanna talk about the old days...there was a reason we had 100+ people on at any given time. The game was fun, and there was way less bullshit. The excuse of "we all just grow up and move on" is complete bs. Yes that accounts for some, but there are other forces at play here that are pushing people away......but to get us back on topic....

I'm continually amazed by people who somehow think this game would have 100+ players consistently "if only things were exactly how I wanted them to be" -- it's 2017 and most of the core base from that era are pushing their mid-30s if not more. It's shocking there are even 30 or however many of you still consistently playing.

Oh, there's also no point in bringing this "back to topic" as I think we've heard you whine about the same thing in different ways at anyone who disagrees with you.

Agree with this but looking at the number of players on other MUDs it isn't really hard to see there is still a market out there for this type of game. However i think its less about the changed mechanics and more about the lack of coders.

+1 to less no hides, i have personally afkd for hours at a time because there is no real threat of dying if you dont want there to be.

Edit : I think a nonsafe game would at least mix it up.

Experienced players have perfected this. Making horrible large ganks or bonuses the only way to kill. I can't recall having killed any master on a non-master. But that could just be me.
