Why is there such a hate on for rogues?

Make only town squares and rents no-hides.

I say rents because it really ruins your day to log in and eat a stab. Or to use a terangreal that takes you to a rent and get insta-stabbed.
I say town squares because they are general gathering places and equipment sharing places.

As far as rogues. I generally do not PK them because of previously stated reasons. To the point I don't get notice anymore on most of my alts (which are few and unclanned). Waste of practices. If I do PK rogues it is just until I realize I don't have a chance of killing them or I'm haggard.

If no hides in cities are really the deal here someone make a thread with actual rooms that could to be changed... crazier stuff has been implemented on less.

I know that all the rogues complain that no one is interested in PKing them but truthfully I feel like sometimes no one is interested in PKing. They just want risk free kills. So its not really just rogue problem.

Sooooo this so so this. Pk is very dull lately, more so then ever in my opinion. But it's not a problem limited to just rogues. Everyone is so scared of dying lately it seems. It's either easy kills or nothing. It's to the point I don't feel like trying anymore. As for rogues, there could be some more no hides removed. But certain places should stay imo. We are all older and have grown up lives now. Ragan example should stay, people need to afk at times. It's a time issue just like a lot of things that pertains to on this game.

And lastly, 90% of you rogues are a joke. You wonder why people hate to pk you. Attack is pretty dam powerful, and vastly underrated. When I go stab (granted generally on my masters) I don't even try more then once or twice. I just grab a horse and melee, you might need to use mobs. Specially if your always outnumbered which is always my case it seems. But ya master with attack is one of the more dangerous options in game. Even non masters I play that way. Because playing a rogue like some of you do is super fking boring, and easy to live. Attack melee is very underrated. But ya pks been terrible lately. Oh and if anything needs changed its channelers nothing more dull. Even rogues.

Removing no hides just moves people to other no hides. You don't like that players choose to congregate in rooms because they have an incentive to be in that room- doesn't show much perspective, understanding or introspection.

When people talk about the game being more dangerous they usually mean chokier - not more rogue friendly.

It hasn't been too terrible up north when I have been pking. Last night there were high number DS and LS pk for a couple hours. Might be a fluke when I was on, though.

This is probably true, though I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to making gates nohide if that actually means raiding will happen. But other than hitting horsetrader or looting rack, I rarely see DS in FD (though the same could be said about LS chasing keep).

The problem with raiding is actually finding humans, and the said humans you do find usually sit inside said city and want you to kill yourself by hitting them at Fanico and Gate Defenses act.

Or find some humans but it turns into a slaughter because every human on the map suddenly flocks when they hear something like "Lol Rig is crit with jcuffz let's vulture him.

Or you have lame asses who think it's funny to walk into your pk and start slinging poison/contagion/blind ect. Then again I'm the King of Lame so I understand why this happens when I'm around!

There are a few times it's pretty damn good though. Alas as others have said most of you are too afraid to die and just want easy kills. I would probably raid a bit more if these things weren't so common. +1 for the removal of some no hides.

Unfortunately for SS you are always raiding. Can't even get a scout to narrate for DS up north. Normally you spend 4 hours looking for PK and then when you finally find some a group decides its more fun to trap you in a door or something. It's not that you can't find people, it's more they actively avoid PKing which is fine. I get some people don't want to PK - doesn't mean I don't want to still kill them though!

I'd really like to see the number of no hides reverted back to our 2001 version, and the removal of hide resistant rooms(roads).

On a sideboard, I'd like to point out what some people find satisfying and what some dont. Some people love the satisfaction of blicking or clicking someone. Whats the difference between whether you die to a blick, click, or die in 1 bash to channies like Byrg the other day?

I honestly had the most fun back when there were 0 no hides and you could roll on engaged targets but thats just me. Those were the days of real pk and those days are gone unfortunately. My opinion of course which I am entitled and no amount of 'wotmud forum logic' will ever change that. I have a ko'bal master and a bt that will probably just collect dust forever now which appears to be a-ok with the community. What can you do.
