I can understand being frustrated, but I'm pretty sure we had every human crit at some point in the PK, and it was back and forth for a long time. DS ran into a few problems, including

a) most of us couldn't track, so it was harder to run down the low people running from us
b) we didn't do a good job of hitting when Nevaeh was low sps / when the weather was bad
c) we wasted a lot of time rolling and missing bashes on Vash, then dismounting him to make him a super dodger (153db, apparently)
d) lack of coordination, zerking at weird times, not zerking at weird times. Moldred had to be reminded where goat was, which is why he got there late, but he gets a pass since he's been gone a long time!

So yeah, the zing seemed silly at some points, but it's not like we were having trouble breaking Nevaeh's defense or landing bashes on her, either, and there is a zone-wide message when it's up.

Mostly I'm confused that this thread has been so active :P

So I'll just throw this out there. Weather is very seasonal. There is a month or two where hot weather zones (Blight, Gap, Winding, Orchard, etc) will literally form spontaneous lightning (without change weather) which will last for many ticks. It is fairly easy to create during these times and will stick around. I've literally walked from Fal Dara to the Keep without lightning in every zone along the way. In other seasons, you could burn all of your sps to create lightning and it will end at the end of the tick it was created every single time.

Lightning aside, I would tell anyone with a Wilder to just give it up - join Kin or join the Tower or whatever (could have sworn Nevaeh was an Accepted, but I don't want to know). I am kicking myself in the ass lately for all my wasted years on a Wilder. I've been playing an Accepted lately with flamestrike and fireball and I've literally missed out on so much. 1 on 1s with dreadlords - crazy. Trying to protect your group from the other teams dreadlord - crazy. Having a spell to use in hot zones that isn't lightning - great - totally opens up options and places to battle. Love it or hate it my default routine in the past was to try and lure people somewhere cold or to a zone where I was sitting on the other side with lightning waiting.

Moral of the story: we need to UP the class that is currently far and away the most powerful class you can stat and arguably the most powerful class in the game. I am glad we have all agreed on this and I look forward to signing the petition.
