Racquel left the inn after enjoying the festivities of the night before. Everything was much calmer now without the music and the dancing. The town crier was spreading the word about the death of a corlm during the previous night. Racquel had never met a corlm and didn't really know what that was. Racquel supposed that if there was more to the story, it would become apparent soon enough.

Aira heard of the day's news and went to visit the corpse of the strange creature. Kicking it to make sure it was really dead, Aira then turned to go back home. Seanchan, in a town like this? What on earth could interest them here? They weren't wealthy and had no resources to speak of. There was the river and some people were farmers. Frowning, Aira crossed the square, looking at the people gathered there askance.

Astolfo exited his house for his daily tasks and looked over across the town’s square where Brocas was sadly finishing burying what remained of a large, hairy bird.
“Hmmm, Brocas seems to be one of those new Seanchan arrivals in town. I wonder how many of them there are? Whoever heard of a bird that large before their lot showed up! I mean, imagine how much Tairen hot sauce you’d need for wings that size! Oh well, lots of new faces in town these last few weeks. Seasons are as seasons change I guess.” Never one that liked things changing much, with a shrug, Astolfo goes back to preparing for his tasks. The Wheel weaves as the Wheel, Creator shelter us all!

I find it interesting to note who joins the vote against Carlia, especially considering we found out who Astolfo was last night. I expect lynching Racquel and Aira in turn will make our village safer.

Weira passed a small note along to the innkeeper of the Silken Trim, and then went and took a seat towards the back of the common room, looking a bit sad.

The innkeeper opens the note, and it reads:

Auriona silently sips a cup of kaf from her vantage at the Alkinar Inn. She looks up and shares a wordless glance with the figure that sits across from her. Her face appears pale and drawn and a scone sits uneaten on the plate before her.

I believe Chiron to be the greater threat but I am sure they both serve the same master I will change vote: Lynch Racquel

Carlia is desperate to separate the people from being united and changes her vote as she sees fit to blame anyone as long as it isn't her. The desperation of the Shadow in daylight.

I have lived in this town all my life. I was here when it was under the control of the Mayor Gruffith and the Mayor Santa Claus after that - why, I even voted for Mayor Santa Claus myself. And since the Seanchan have taken over, I have Sworn the Oaths to the Empress, may She live forever. Kill me if the Empress, may She live forever, wishes it. But in doing so, you kill one of your own number. Please do as you must for the Empire.
