Brocas sits back, hair standing straight up from pulling and pushing it all day. The man is visibly stressed. He look up at the clock on the wall, and ponders.

"Father always taught me trust my gut intuition. Mistress Evolet has not convinced me that she is of good heart. She could have easily acquired an a'dam from somewhere and taken control of Tita. I highly doubt a Tita would spread falsehoods on her own accord. I want to lynch Aldwyn. If I am right, we need to protect Tita tonight. If I am wrong, I will accept my fate tomorrow. No action... can be just as fatal as any action."

NIGHT THREE ENDS


The funeral procession of Firimei and Joolis travels a circle around Alkindar, gathering the townsfolk together in mourning of the early departure of two of their beloved. The procession comes to a halt, finally, at the cemetery, and head councilman Listan Fiosi directs the coffins to be carried to their plots and buried. It is late morning by the time the graveside ceremony comes to an end. Citizens and visitors alike make their way back to their respective residences, some with an expert apperance of sorrow, others with heartfelt lament.

Elsewhere in Alkindar, the faintest whiffs of love's rekindling, an ungainly sight carried out into the square, and an invaded home, door and inhabitant torn to splinters. Not an hour past the double burial and now another two poor souls to join them. The puppets of Amaetheon hang speechlessly from their back-room storage hooks.



Astolfo the Hand of the Light Questioner has been found stiff as a board.
Brocas the Seanchan morat'corlm has been found on his walls.

Carlia wakes up bright and early and full of energy to head back to the library.

There is obviously a bigger problem in the town than arguing which noble should rule us. Until now, we could have believed the murderer actually had the intention to protect people from the Seanchan, even though they chose the wrong way. But now, Hand of the Light was murdered, there is no doubt about darkfriends being included.

One of the victims called for Aldwyn's lynch yesterday. Could anyone shed more light into this? Does Aldwyn have anything to say? If not, I will follow the call for his lynching today.

Raek sits, with her hands folded tensely in her lap, to ponder last nights events. "Our numbers continue to dwindle, as members of the light sit idly back and continue to get murdered. This cannot continue." She rises, and leaves the inn in search of Aldwyn. "I think it's time we converse," she mutters to herself as he strides out the door.

[Torgor]

Torgor walks back to the library to return his book. He leaves a note with the librarian to put up on the town notice board, which reads:

"People of Alkindar: I have proof regarding the death of our people. I am in contact with rangers who are skilled in the art of tracking down murderers, and having had them to follow Carlia the previous night, we have come to the conclusion that Carlia is involved in the murder of our innocent citizens. It is only obvious that a vile creature of the dark would have doppelgangers to safeguard their own skin. Let us not lose ourselves to inaction. Please join me in putting an end to this miserable creature."

Carlia hears the call from the library and sits back and laughs.

"I told many people last night, You cannot find me in the night. Therefor either you or your source is lying."

[Torgor]

"Why would an innocent citizen have anything to hide especially in the night? The only reason you cannot be found in the night is because you carry out the will of the dark from within the shadows.", Torgor points out.
