The old wisdom Pajana glanced up at the dark sunless sky muttering, "The Dark one still has too strong a hold on this town."
She hurried on her way to treat people after seeing the recent gore and bloodshed.

Aira glanced at the clock that sat on the mantle. Light, but time was going slowly!

Aldwyn muttered from his locked room. Darkfriends and townspeople were both dying at about the same rate. At this rate who knows which side will win. His hands shook as he looked out the window. His body yearned for food, but things still weren't done.

AS the Late sun finally rises the shock sets in.
So many people dead in one night....
Perhaps it is a good thing....
Pial the Vanilla Townie has been poisoned and decapitated on Night 5.
Paj the Darkfriend turned Seanchan wisdom was burned to a crisp on Night 5.
Astolfo the Seanchan Bloodknife has his life force drained on Night 5.
Night 5 has ended.
Day 5 ends 12/9/16 11:59 pm est.

Wandering through the town with something of a dazed look, Racquel looked around what was left of it. Walking past the bar was the hardest part. It was hot this morning and the thought of a drink was comforting after the night's events. Thinking back to Brocas Sedai's recent decree, it said there was still evil amongst the town. Xoco's letter read aloud by Brocas named Tolveor, Pial, Rig, and Callesa as potential targets. All but Callesa have been accounted for and with the number of death's last night, the unaccounted for male channeler simply must have been active.
Racquel was unsure. Brocas and Xoco had been correct about two and wrong about one. Racquel sniffed in disdain thinking of Pial, 'But maybe that was a blessing anyway...' Racquel shrugged, 'Well, if Brocas is right, we'll have one less male channeler wandering around. And that can only be a good thing. If she is wrong, maybe not everything is as she suggests."

A woman drained by grief comes across Racquel walking through the town and notices them talking to themselves. She approaches Racquel, unsure of whether to address them as ma'am, sir, or something else, and reminds them that Weir of the Black Ajah is still on the loose and must be lynched immediately. She also reminds Racquel of the nuances in the letter that Xoco wrote before his death, which implied that though Callesa was the last remaining of the strongest suspects - those not yet proven to be Darkfriends - there were others that were less strongly suspected that had also not yet been proven. 'You, for instance, Racquel, and also Firimei. But Firimei is a woman, and so is Callesa. That leaves you, Racquel, as the only remaining suspect of being a male channeler.' Brocas takes a breath before continuing. 'I accuse you of being a man, Racquel!'
Brocas turns to Firimei as she approaches the two cautiously. 'You, Firimei, should know better than to start a lynch on an Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah when there are known Darkfriends in the town. If I do not assume that every last shred of logic has fled you, then I must assume that you are either Darkfriend or Seanchan sworn. I prefer the seccond. Naturally, I appreciate the lack of desire the Seanchan have to work with one they consider to be marath'damane, but for now we share a greater enemy: Weir, and the male channeler who serves the Shadow. To not deal with that dual threat first is foolishness.'
She eyes Racquel again, remembering seeing the person in the tavern, when she first arrived in Maredo with her Warder, sitting alone and drinking an unwomanly quantity of alcohol. The overwhelming emptiness created when her bond was severed gnawed at her when she recalled the tall man who aided Weir and Rig in killing her Warder.
'I stand in front of the one responsible for my lover's death, and yet my hands are tied by my Oaths, and I may not strike him down,' Brocas thought to herself. 'If I am not killed by the bloodknife tonight, I will surely be lynched by his followers tomorrow. I only hope I live to see my cause complete and the Darkfriend presence removed. Light, let Xoco's death not be in vain...' Brocas turned away from Racquel to wait for sundown. She would confront the villain and learn the truth tonight. Her life meant nothing to her anymore. Only the Cause.

Frowning, Racquel gives Brocas a confused look. "I have lived in this town my entire life and any of those who live here can vouch for me. I simply enjoy my ale. Perhaps too much, because I had forgotten about Weir. You are correct Aes Sedai, he should be lynched."
Racquel paused before continuing, "And if you thought I were a channeler, you would have said it. But yet, by only accusing me, you don't violate your oaths. And you were wrong about Pial. And there are plenty of men in this town - Aldwyn for one."
"But I can't argue with the logic in lynching Weir. We should do that."
