He froze. Notice he didn't flee after the bash was over and he could have fled but didn't?

He unfroze a tic after he died. Said the last thing he saw was the mob dieing.

Ah. meh. wasn't sure if we'd caught him berk or off guard or what. Seeing as to how he was apparently there to kill the mob seconds earlier... it didn't really register that he would be not there.

I must be a professional at failing flees in 2 exit rooms. Vividly remember this being a huge pain in my ass 2 years ago. Twice in a 10 minute pk session today!
