He says he understands their perspective but then he goes and shows why he doesn't!

These people don't care about the impacts of climate change, which for the worst parts are still decades off even though we already see some of the impacts now, they care about how to pay their mortgage and how to feed their family.

The problem is, you guys think these people have something in common with you. They dont. While you argue about global warming and healthcare they perform rituals and sell children. Go and search and read the f'ng emails for yourself, then come back with your same rhetoric.

SUSPEND YOUR COGNITIVE DISSONANCE

LET GO OF YOUR PRIDE and as Razhak says LISTEN.

I'm more or less voting for Hilary because I think progressive movements will be able to do more under her presidency than under a Trump presidency, in the way that progressive movements have done more under Obama than they would have with a McCain or Romney presidency.

We can all gripe about a two-party system, but I don't think the solution is trying to vote in a third party candidate to the presidency, when there isn't a base of third-party politicians holding local offices around the country. If you want a third party president, vote for third-party senators, governors, mayors, councilors, and so on. Third parties don't spring out of nowhere when we pay attention for a few months every few years.

I think, as Petra says, it's totally fair for foreigners to feel invested in the American presidency. In many ways, the rest of the world feels the effects of our vote more than we do.

Found on Wikipedia : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second-ge ... ted_States

The growing presence of first-generation immigrants in the U.S. has led to a growth in the percentage of the population that can be categorized as second-generation Americans. This is due to immigrants being more likely than native born adults to have children.[4] In 2009, immigrants, both legal and unauthorized, were the parents of 23% of all children in the U.S.[4]

So considering 23%, which translates to almost 1 in 4 children of the latest generation's ancestors or lineage come from everywhere else in the world, that I think it is normal that the rest of the world be concerned about what is going to soon affect their relatives living IN the USA.

Out of the Box concept for ya right there. :ugeek:

The United States of America isn't full of Americans. It's full of people from somewhere else, who looking for something better migrated to the highly propaganda-ed country of "freedom and liberty" and received the title or status of "Citizens of the United States of America." and feel entitled to the propaganda that brought them there in the first place.

It's a strange cycle in my opinion. But that's all just an idea.

I'm a simple Canadian who worries about my "Big brother" to the south and how he'll endanger my family with silly ideas of World War, ect, ect.

Sorry derailing a bit, just want to say I feel bad for all Americans. for like Rig said, you're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

See also: the outrage every two years when we re-learn that Olympians have to work odd jobs to support their training, and the intense love of soccer everyone has exclusively during the World Cup.

Trump has no substance. No policy. He's pandered to the stupid by being the loudest, hardest chest thumping ape. He's gonna make it great again, it'll be great, that sounds great. But how...?

He's gonna repeal Obamacare. And replace it with what? Millions of uninsured Americans?

If you don't care that he has no substance. That he's a windup merchant praying on the stupid, then just look at who supports him and vote for Hilary because you're better than a Trump supporter.

No candidate who gets the support of nazis and the kkk should get a rational persons support.
