bug with cure fear these days, it doesn't give you the couple tics immunity like before, but will replace your no-quit. So basically if you quaff a cure fear with no quit, it'll be replace the no-quit tag. Hopefully it'll get fixed at some point, kind of frustrating pking vs fades who prac high % fear and not be able to effectively fight them

Flash looked at the lack of cure fear protection about a year ago, but he couldn't figure out why it was acting up.

Seeing that fear has no counter right now does it require coding to not allow it to be practiced until it is fixed?

I considered proposing that when it first came up as a problem, but it's bigger than fades, it's also (unclanned) channelers and mobs. The latter wouldn't be something we can address, and the inclusion of channelers means policing it becomes a lot harder, so I never brought it up for discussion.

Channelers using fear isn't really the problem. I understand your comparison, because they both can fear, but it's fade repeatedly procing fear for free that is the issue. With all due respect, this is a no brainer imo to tell fades they can't prac it until it's fixed. Even if that fix is likely never.

What do you mean for free? Unsure how your pracs look, but I have to use pracs to practice fear when I choose to do so. But yeah channelers don't often prac fear, generally not worth using over chill, so people don't use it much. would probably be worth making some sort of temporary ban on it for fades, but that would take away some of our RP and some more bonuses - darken also being gone - anyway wouldn't be against it myself.

I think you're doing that condescending thing again. It procs for free. It goes off with no sp/dp cost, no lag, no nothing. It procs for free.

I love when I fight a fade and get feared, the quaff like 5 fear vials in rapid succession as I continue to get feared.
