I can't think of anything that would be worse for absers than old master weapons.

If this thread has led to the implementation of an smob that loads a maul (one can hope) then it has done its job.

Mauls would have had to have added OB for this thread to have done its job!

I now have the cleaver of hundredfold, and probably going to add that to the "not better than a regular weapon" list.

That makes 2 ABS uniques that are superior. 1 that's superior but DS only. 2 that are probably inferior. 1 (Blue Scourge) that is superior to its alternative but still probably not considered great because its alternative is so awful.

Then mauls, just not that great.

Tainted mauls don't exist (i've never used one to say how they are if they do exist)

Oh and bonused people with anything is dangerous. Bonuses are the problem here nothing else. You get tons as a fade on top of a already overboard master char. Remove all this extra bonuses and damage. Level off the playing field. Being a non master non bonused char is a joke comparing to bonused.

OB or PB bonuses for masters with mob lead is PLENTY.

PS. I used cleaver as a non master zerking warrior and as a master zerking warrior. The difference was quite big.

I loved cleaver shredded the dung outta people. An abser is supposed to die.

Cleaver might be kinda shoddy at bashing. But damage wise it destroys dung. Same with maul, there short lived weapons. Your abs dung comes and goes. I was zerk with that thing 70% of the time. I couldn't care less about losing it. Your acting like abs and abs weapons should be on par with combo etc. Ones meant to live and be all pretty and ones meant to be a meat shield and destroy lol.

Abs and abs weapons are just fine. And Your a zerking master warrior. One of the most dangerous chars in the game. You shouldnt have any complaints.

Why should the interesting weapons only be for pansy comboers and dodgers? Absers don't have to be just a meat shield cannon fodder, I have had the most fun pk as an abser. I'm just saying that as mostly an abser (I will go tridents every now and then), there just are not equivalent weapons to lamans, Justice, ksword... even all the herons are geared toward defense. Who says a blademaster has to be defensive? I mean the only people who can get the blademaster tag are zerking absers.

And I would disagree with the idea that Malf is comparable to Justice. Justice frags bplates. Malf is like slightly better than a bronzer.

I'm putting my vote again for an abs heron! And Malf damage should = Justice damage, period.

I wont debate the malf needing to be equivalent of justice in damage. Not only limited to channelers. Da'es ashan has heron like damage I'd say. Both cleavers have nice damage I'd say. Blight killer could be upped to be a better unique. I never found much wrong with a war maul when I used it. Especially as a master. Maybe plus 5 ob to it. The 2 unique flails I haven't had experience with. What else is the issue? Maybe a rare could be added to the axes, that was heron like?

I don't know what you guys are smoking comparing malf to a "little bit better bronzer.". That thing hits like a truck no matter who you are on.

It's only Venum comparing Malf to not much better than a bronzer. I think it's the best ABS weapon in the game. It's not comparable to Justice, because Justice is stupid.

The argument here isn't not that ABS is underpowered, or that ABS is hard done by. I think it's about as balanced now as it's ever been. The argument is that as a setup it has far less in terms of aspirational equipment than comboers, who frankly already have life pretty sweet.

As I pointed out, there are arguably 2 or 3 unique abs weapons that are better than comparable 'normal weapons'. And rares it's touch and go whether you could consider a maul better than a bronzer (it's certainly not for a dism trolloc non-master, and arguably not for a master).

Compare that to 10+ uniques for combers that are awesome, and literally hundreds of rares over 6 classes that offer top of the line weaponry.
