Lots of really dumb points being made here. I'll go over them.
1. Channeling mobs are dumb
- Yes, they're a crutch and dumb. There is almost never any point in time that channeling mobs are required.
2. It's for BaLaNcE
-The whole "it's to balance out the massive amounts of channelers that xxx side has" is a dumb argument that only made sense when there was 4+ channelers in any given situation. That simply isn't true anymore. Hasn't been for years.
3. The weaves available to channeling mobs
- These should have all been changed to flame strike forever ago. Apparently, somehow, we haven't learned how moronic and stupid it is to have a mob that can do 400+ hp damage in less than 3 rounds of combat since they don't have to roll timers. It's possible to change it. If not for that specific mob, delete the mob and make a firetrucking new one. Jesus Christ.
4. It's a crutch
- Lansin is correct. It is absolutely a crutch. The current player base is soft and scared of pk rips even though everything is a thousand times more abundant than ever before. Gear, experience, quest points. In what world do you need to use a channeling mobs 3v4? Grow a pair and just admit you're bad at the game. You waste the time of everyone involved.
5. Counters to Channeling
- Malf, 21 str, 1n well, and GK are huge counters. If you don't have access to Malf, you have access to the other 3 in this situation. This is what kills pk. Not no-channs. People being scared or lazy and wanting easy/free kills.
6. Prykor is dumb
- Prykor usually doesn't know what he's talking about, and anyone who listens to anything he says should ignore that because 21 str is incredibly strong and it's not just about offsetting the bash %. It's also about damage and OB. You nerd. Humans are mounted. They don't have 200 db. Learn the game at least a little bit before you say dumb things. Please.

Yeah I have to say Prykors points are pretty dumb.
At the end of the day it’s RNG 100-300 damage while you’re already inside the DS city and pretty deep in. Thats what she said.
I actually think a door with mobs would be more fun for both sides. We see how that can turn both ways. Though with how aggro is that can be fucked up.
I think Agelmar is the strongest spot in FD and I think Blarg and saddy are pretty strong in keep. Could add a few fade mobs or kno mon or those g clan mobs that hurt to these rooms.

All of the arguments in this thread are dumb because you all are making them to the wrong people.
The only people who have an opinion that matters are the Imms and probably only a specific cohort of them.
You can't change their mind with crappy posts and your infighting and drama. You have to be crafty, subtle and gently repetitive. You can't trash the other team (your fellow players) and make yourself seem like you only play one side and the change is for your self centered benefit.
Players have been trashing channeling mobs forever. We're down to 1 room in keep. If you hate it your next step is to try and argue it to a more problematic or isolated location with worse flees or something like that.
And I would love to talk about how wrong some of ya'll are about the 5% ride bonus, but there's no point because I'm never going to change an Imms mind in a thread like this.

I still think the compromise of not putting channeler mobs in hard to flee 1exit rooms would be nice. Yes I think channeler mobs are stupid like everyone else. Yes they are a crutch. Sometimes people need crutches. Not everyone is on the same talent level, internet etc. Are they used more often then they should be? Probably. But you know the risk hitting them. I'm sure often times people would just leave if they didn't have said crutch. Especially in certain scenarios. All's I'm saying is if there not removed completely...at least make it not so dam hard to flee in there room. Putting a channeling mob in a 1 exit is to say the least, dumb.
