Yeah, I think this is turning into our own WOTMUD version of Old Yeller.

If the exploit were fixed, I can understand the logic of getting the gold out of the game. It is not fixed though and without an imm witness it, not really traceable as far as I know. If anything, making the exploit public is going to cause awareness on how to do it and bring far more gold into the game.

If it's not traceable or logged anywhere, you can see who has alot of gold....I don't know what is considered alot of gold, 50K? 100K?, ask them how they got so much, then check their logs and try to confirm that the character actually earned that gold by doing xxx so many times.

btw the golden shower thing is quite amusing :)

Do not allow people to benefit from cheating, or they will be encouraged to do it again in the future.

Unless they know who may be cheating, why punish the hard working gold farmers by not letting them use their gold?

There is no other large gold sink in the game.

Let it continue or just wipe all banks and backpacks(and other containers) from rent. It's the only way to get rid of bad money without a culprit. They could be carrying in inventory too and rented.

Hopefully we are all only voting on 1 character a piece.

Lmao 118 votes. I know for a fact we don't have 118 playing atm. Leave the auction be and get this fixed before next auction.

Don't cancel it, just start it over with any cheaters banned from the auctions. Maybe make it like 5 days instead of 10 to get bids in.
