Spooktober 2025.
Spooktober 2025.
We will be doing a few temporary additions in theme with Halloween. I'll add updates here.
Right now, a headless horseman has found shelter at one of the minismob chain locations. He can load some cash, a potion or three, or a rare on %.

Re: Spooktober 2025.
Jak O' the Shadows has returned to haunt the center of the map.
Among his prized possessions you may find, on %, a seasonal item, a sinister scythe. This is an item that's basically a wildly spiked axe copy, although it will have a bit less durability. As a new thing, we'll be making seasonal items and loading these at an elevated rate, but after a season, they will be nixed and become worthless. Thus, storing long term will be useless.
Jak may also load a spread of gold abs, top end cloak, ring and necklace, all on %.
Much love to Adael, because I was wandering the map and found the perfect room that I didn't know of.

Re: Spooktober 2025.
If you kill a pair of ancient trees, there's a chance it may spawn an animated pumpkin, which is about the same level/ exp as an evergreen pine (that's the issuable trees).
Re: Spooktober 2025.
A gnarled gravedigger has arrived near a former battlefield to bury the human dead. He returns them to the last embrace of the Mother, as per Shienaran custom. To help with his labor, he uses potions to give him strength and endurance. What a man!
Note: this one's for DS. If you attack him as a human, he will warrant AND narrate.

Re: Spooktober 2025.
Just a bit of flavor today: the two primarily used lanterns are now jack-o'-lanterns.
Re: Spooktober 2025.
I'll be doing a mobraid that kicks of a mini-storyline on Saturday around 7.30 pm EDT/ server time.
However, please continue to read, as I will have a few terms and conditions.
Why?
It's supposed to be fun, right? Instead, if a group with a bonded Gaidin and many channies show up, there's nothing we can do. We can only mindlessly load more mobs for you to carve through, can't pay attention to group composition and individual players' set ups and add thoughtful eq loads, we're literally scrambling. I've had to abandon storylines and interactive yells just to keep up with groups like these, stabbers, people hurricaning and so on. It's just patently unfun.
Yes, I get it, playing a channeler is fun. Dealing with a whole pack of them obliterating anything that moves before I can even have a moment to think is not. No, we cannot up things any more. Predators are like level 70. The max mob level is 99. Do the math, basically.
Add to this, that making aliases for mobraids was a fair bit easier in Zmud and Cmud and... yeah. Mobraiding became harder on the immside since I started using Mudlet.
What?
So, in order to make this workable and reasonably fun for me as well as you, there will be a few things done:
There will be invisible mobs that will report on shenanigans like hurricaning patrols, going off solo to stab things, which is usually done in order to keep good loot for oneself. I have a particular individual in mind who wandered off with an obsid staff once that I had loaded with fcs present in mind, but the rogue was being a greedy dingus and never fessed up to having it. Again, see the part about thoughtful eq loads catered to participants.
You will be jailed if you pull something like that, solostabbing, hurricaning, incinning, yadda yadda. Why? Because it takes time to deal with that inworld, like flagging rooms no-hide, no-fire as well as reversing those changes and whatnot and I'm not wasting time on individuals. You either play along or sit this one out.
There will be emote damage on weaving on % and maluses for bonded Gaidin as well. Again, you taking longer to kill things equals more time for me to interact and follow the storyline, plus any improvisations.
No, I don't hate you as the player of these classes, but if you want more than just carving through endless patrols, you have to work with me.

Re: Spooktober 2025.
Since this will be a LS only event due to me using a new-to-mobraiding client, having a newbie imm around, the whole new invisible mob thing and then juggling another side would be too much, I'm allowing people who are alt tied on DS to join in. Just send a tell ingame, or shoot me a forum mail.
Re: Spooktober 2025.
Zombie Quest!
With the mad scientist raising his armies of the undead, various entities have decided this uprising (pun intended) must be squashed. Lord Fanico wants them deader. The Great Lord is displeased someone is cutting in on his raising the dead venture and has instructed Ilsae to take care of things.
In various sites where the dead may be laid to rest around the map, you will find a pair of zombies. Kill them, scalp them, turn in their scalp at Fanico or Ilsae.
Every turn in will be a lottery ticket, so the more turn ins, the higher your chance of winning a rare of your choice. However, even if you only turn in a few, you will still have a chance to win! You have until Nov 1st to go forth and slay!
