The gradient of this slope is not very steep, but the waist high grasses on it
make negotiating the hillside a difficult and prickly process. More grass
covers the hilltop and the plains to the north and west. A large fruit tree

This hill is not very high, but the large expanse of plains provide it with a
view of everything for leagues in all directions. The top is blanketed by dry
grass and brush like the rest of this area. Grasslands fill your view in the
west and a plateau protrudes into the sky in the northwest. An apple tree
grows at the base of the hill to the south.

Base of a Hill
The hill rises about thirty paces in the air and is blanketed by dry, brittle
grasses. The grass and brush here comes up to your thighs and is quite dense,
but the ground supplies sure footing and dust is prevented from becoming
airborne. There is and entrance to a dark cave on the face of the hill to the,
south while grasslands dominate your view in the other directions.

A Cleared Field
All the vegetation in ths field has been cleared and replaced with pieces of
rock and stone. The road was never completed leaving the land in the care of

in no light. The forest floor is covered by some sort of creeping plant and
many different varieties of lichen. The air is growing quite stale here, making
breathing difficult, and it is probably for that reason that no wildlife is
visible anywhere! A path can barely be seen in the west and the forest
continues to the east and north. To the south the forest lightens.

the small, hard packed dirt path leading from south to north. All signs

Judging by the untouched look of the foliage, no one has passed this way in a
very long time. The trees to the east look to be very ancient, and the vines

here. Unlike the small path, this one looks like it gets used quite regularly.
All overhanging branches have been brusquely trimmed off and the path itself

east. The tower face on this side is completely covered in vines. They look
strong enough for an attempt at climbing to the top, but it seems a long way

for all kinds of vegetation. Broad-leafed ferns grow half as high as a

Fresh smells of sticky sap come from the surrounding firs that grow in
clusters where their neighbors have been cut to clear the trail. The old
fallen clumps lay an orange covering on the forest floor. Some young oak

little light for lower growth to subsist.

clusters where their neighbors have been cut to clear the trail. The old
fallen clumps lay an orange covering on the forest floor. Some young oak
saplings have sprung up that will eventually take over the area, but for
now this trail is clear.

Large brown vines, strong enough to support the weight of two men, hang
from the branches of enormous oak trees. Their bark is slippery and moist,
but they are still firm and brittle underneath. Entwined around each other
