Tower Square
This side of the square is the southern section of the Tower Square.
In the center is the walled off White Tower. To the south a large
boulevard opens up leading to the Southharbor. To the north you see
the southern gate of the Tower grounds. The square continues east
and west.
A large banner rests here, depicting a map of Tar Valon.

Alison says 'Some attack all out even if the odds are stacked against them, eg Draz.'

Lorrah curtseys before Alison.

Lorrah smiles happily.

Alison nods at Lorrah.

Lorrah greets her with a light kiss on her cheek.

Melosa brightens in understanding.

Alison says 'You know what a verb is?'

Melosa says 'I do'

Alison says 'Like verbs, each fight has quirks.'

Lorrah feeds the palfrey some sugar cubes.

Alison says 'Like spikes. Patterns.'

Alison says 'Eg some dls run away when sps are low.'

Melosa nods vigorously, 'Yes indeed'

Alison says 'Some switch to stabbing.'

Melosa says 'And every fighter has their own style'

Alison says 'Some dls just fight like a cat in a bag. Eg Kilgore.'

Alison says 'Don't ever attempt to door kilgore. You will not survive.'

Melosa shudders at the thought of facing dreadlords in an enclosed space.

Alison says 'Thus i ask you. Name one thing that stands out for you?'

Lorrah settles down, paying attention to the discussion.

Alison taps her other side to let Lorrah sit as well.

Lorrah slides onto the fountain on the other side of Alison Sedai.

Melosa takes a moment to think over all the reports she has read, identifying a common factor.

Melosa says 'I would say, Alison Sedai, that the one thing that stands out for me for all the
reports is that'

Lorrah leans forwards.

Melosa says 'In each battle, more knowledge is obtained'

Melosa says 'more information'

Melosa says 'about the Great Enemy'

Alison says 'When you loose, you also win.'

Alison says 'Think on that a moment.'

Lorrah holds her hand up.

Alison says 'Speak your mind.'

Lorrah says 'If it pleases the light Alison Sedai, if there such a thing as winning or losing?'

Lorrah says 'The wheel turns, it doesn't stop.'

Lorrah says 'Winning and losing, they seem like such finalities.'

Melosa has a quizzical look on her face.

Alison says 'Ah, but now you going into a tangent of perception versus perspective.'

Alison says 'And that will take at least a few hours of discussion.'

Melosa nods in agreement.

Lorrah strokes her thin thoughtfully.

Alison says 'What Ajah do you aspire to, Lorrah?'

Melosa brightens as she has understands the meaning behind Alison's words.

Lorrah says 'I'm drawn to the brown, but there are some elements of logic I love to consider and
discover Alison Sedai.'

Alison nods in agreement.

Alison says 'So what do you understand so far, Melosa?'

Alison says 'About todays talk.'

Melosa shifts slightly on the hard surface.

Melosa says 'A few insights, Alison Sedai'

Melosa says 'Chiefly, your words about looking beyond what others may speak and instead look at how
they behave, the look in their eyes can tell the truth far more often'

Melosa says 'The second perhaps less associated with the first is about knowledge'

Melosa says 'And I suppose that is knowledge'

Alison says 'White Ajah has this quirk'

Lorrah settles her hand on her chin, considering Melosa's point.

Alison says 'Think of a cat that traps a mouse a few times, then eats it.'

Alison says 'And in each battle log. Everyone has a quirk'

Alison says 'Light, dark, in between. Its in grained. Sometimes people don't even realise they are
advertising their quirks'

Melosa nods in agreement.

Melosa says 'I enjoy reading reports about the battles with dreadlords'

Melosa says 'Many have unknown weaknesses.'

Lorrah ponders life, the universe, and everything.

Melosa says 'Perhaps even to themselves.'

Alison nods in agreement.

Alison says 'Years ago i studied with Melyssan Sedai. '

Alison says 'Funny thing is i was close to being Green Ajah.'

Melosa gasps slightly at the mention of the legendary Green sister.

Astrid has arrived from the south.

Alison says 'Have you read any of my logs of battle?'

Lorrah deftly weaves threads of air, using them to absently brush the warhorse while considering Alison
and Melosa's conversation.

Melosa says 'I do not believe so.'

Melosa says 'Perhaps because there are no such records in the Library, Alison Sedai'

Alison says 'Just because i am White Ajah, doesn't mean i don't fight.'

Melosa smiles slightly.

Melosa says 'Ah that was not my meaning.'

Melosa says 'I had thought that would have been restricted knowledge.'

Melosa says 'I myself keep little records of my own battles.'

Giuseppe says 'Next time I am in Tanchico I will see if I can pick you up a pair of new reading glasses

Divina has arrived from the north.

Melosa curtseys before Divina.

Alison greets Divina with a light kiss on her cheek.

Lorrah curtseys before Divina.

Divina says 'Hello All'

Divina says 'Sister'

Lorrah smiles happily.

Alison says 'Every single Aes sedai can fight.'

Lorrah says 'Hello Divina Sedai'

Alison says 'If there is a log of it. Find it and read it.'

Melosa bows her head, 'I will do so this very evening, Alison Sedai'

Alison says 'Any questions so far related to what we discussed?'

Melosa shakes her head.

Alison says 'Find a quirk for me'

Alison says 'On anyone, then when you see me again. We discuss.'

Divina weaves her hands, creating a flow of water that fills a water skin.

Alison looks at the perfectly good water in the fountain.

Melosa says 'Within your reports, Alison Sedai?'

Alison glances at Divina's skin.

Alison says 'No battle reports.'

Alison says 'I want to teach you to find it.'

Alison says 'Lorrah can do so as well.'

Lorrah nods at Alison.

Melosa says 'As you say, Alison Sedai'

Alison says 'Did your mentors tell you to spar?'

Lorrah says 'yes Alison Sedai'

Lorrah says 'I have done so, and seen some improvements.'

Alison says 'And you Melosa?'

Melosa says 'I have taken classes with Sarinda Sedai.'

Melosa says 'I had a class with Lorrah several days ago.'

Melosa says 'And frequently exchange notes with Isela.'

Lorrah nods at her.

Alison says 'Yet Lorrahs statement about hammer of air versus my use of flame strike from earlier,
has me a bit worried.'

Alison gently taps her lower lip in thought.

Melosa looks lost for words for a moment, realizing she must have missed something.

Lorrah says 'How so Alison Sedai?'

A warhorse pricks its ears forward and looks alert.

Alison says 'Do you recall what you said?'

Lorrah says 'I recall everything. I was channeling Ice Spike, as it suited the weather and there were
two rats to kill, so I expected to have time. You killed the raven with flame strike.'

Alison says 'And?'

Lorrah says 'In retrospect, a shorter weave would have been sufficient, which is why I should ahve opted for Hammer of Air'

Alison says 'You dont have flame strike practiced?'

Lorrah says 'no Alison Sedai. I have not yet the strength in the power to learn it.'

Lorrah says 'So, while I could practice that weave, to do so would be to the detriment of supporting weaves.'

Alison nods in agreement.

Alison says 'Thus in a fight versus another channeler you are at a disadvantage?'

Lorrah says 'Perhaps. Or rather, based on your conversation, in a position to learn from it and perhaps
put them at a disadvantage due to my approach being unexpected.'

Roberto says 'Lorrah I bet you no matter how much food you bring me I could eat it all in one
sitting. '

Roberto says 'all in one sitting! '

Lorrah considers Roberto, wondering how he manages to keep in shape.

Melosa says 'Lorrah does fight quite differently from other girls.'

Melosa says 'Her wearing heavy armor for one.'

Lorrah nods in agreement.

Melosa says 'I do not believe we have met, Gleeperson'

Roberto says 'Those glee people are always watching'

Lorrah claps her hands in excitement.

Lorrah looks on, unruffled serenity only slightly spoiled by a flush in her cheeks.

Melosa says 'The farms in Murandy hardly host celebrations worthy of Gleemen.'

Astrid says 'Nonsense!'

Astrid says 'Any celebration is worthy of a gleeman'

Melosa smiles slightly.

Astrid says 'And farms are full of surprises'

Melosa says 'We see so few Gleeman these years. Even in Tar Valon.'

Melosa says 'And I have been in the Tower.'

Astrid says 'Farms and Towers is why I'm here in any case'

Melosa says 'I wonder where our paths might have crossed.'

Draz says 'are we haing a show?!'

Lorrah gasps in astonishment.

Alison frowns.

Lorrah says 'if it pleases you Astrid, is the correct term still "gleeman"?'

Astrid says 'It is, yes'

Lorrah smiles happily.

Lorrah taps her foot on the floor as she ponders on the issue.

Lorrah nods in agreement.

Astrid says 'Feeling philosophical?'

Lorrah says 'once my head stops hurting. Still digesting earlier's discussion.'

Astrid says 'I must have wandered into whatever that was'

Lorrah comforts her.

Lorrah says 'will you be performing here in Tar Valon Gleeman?'

Astrid says 'I will, but I have some something troubling to attend to before I can'

Lorrah sighs in dissapointment.

Alison grins evilly.

Lorrah weaves fire and air to create small colored flames that dance in a circle.'

Lorrah emote: Lorrah grabs her tongue in her teeth in concentration

Lorrah wiggles her fingers, combining threads of air, fire, and water into a braided string of the
One Power.

Alison says 'What you weaving?'

Lorrah says 'I've no Idea Alison Sedai, just practicing.'

Lorrah gathers air, spirit, and fire in a complicated weave which darkens the room ominously.

Lorrah giggles.

Alison says 'When is a light ball dangerous?'

Astrid threads weaves of coloured silk through her fingers absentmindedly, flashing silk
handkerchiefs into the air.

Lorrah says 'then it lights you in a darkened room and an enemy is there'

Alison says 'Touche'

Melosa jerks to her feet.

Lorrah weaves spirit and earth to repair the burn mark in her dress.

Lorrah nods to herself. Very reassuring.

Melosa says 'Alison Sedai, it is past Prime and I have a class with Verin Sedai'

Melosa says 'Thank you for your time'

Melosa curtseys before Alison.

Alison says 'Or when a gleeman is performing.'

Alison says 'Have a good day, Melosa'

Melosa says 'I fear I will miss your show, Gleeman'

Astrid says 'I've heard stories of girls burning themselves worse with light balls'

Melosa says 'Even though Verin Sedai would probably not notice a missing Accepted'

Astrid beams a smile at Melosa.

Melosa chuckles politely.

Melosa leaves north. ^^

Lorrah nods in agreement.

Alison says 'I thought you where an accepted.'

Lorrah says 'Awaiting advancement, when it pleases the light.'

Alison says 'Or an Aes sedai interviews you.'

Lorrah nods at her.

Alison says 'How long have you been in the tower?'

Lorrah thinks really hard.

Alison frowns.

Lorrah says 'I can't recall exactly Alison Sedai. Time flies.'

Roberto says 'I'll be back, would appreciate it if you all watched my wagon of loot and made sure it
wasnt taken by some scoundrel'

Roberto stops riding a warhorse.

Alison says 'Relegated to guard duty.'

Vianca puts a pouch with red potions in a soft leather pouch.

An ogier has arrived from the west.

Roberto says 'Alison Sedai, and how many times has the tower called upon me for the same thing! '

Lorrah assumes a horse-guarding posture.

Lorrah says 'wait, are we keeping score?'

Alison says 'How can i know that answer?'

Alison stands up, "i will return later."
