Last I heard he had some deal in the making for a tv show, a movie, and a video game on the Kingkiller Chronicles. That was late last year. Other than that probably writing like 14 more novellas to go along with the trilogy. Better than what GRRM has been doing for the past 10+ years.

He puts a lot of his time and effort into his charity work, which he finds more important than the writing. At this point he says he does the writing because it helps the charity, and he wishes he could just do philanthropy full time.

Is there any chance that WoT TV could be bigger than a certain other series that that author hasn't even finished yet.

The Dragon is coming, er, reborn...

OK, I was précising:
Gitara Sedai dying words were, it was wrote:He is born again! I feel him! The Dragon takes his first breath on the slopes of Dragonmount! He is coming! He is coming! Light help us! Light help the world! He lies in the snow and cries like the thunder! He burns like the sun!

I've always loved Sam Elliot. He would be great anywhere.

Funny you say that, discussing it with friends - I had him called out for Thom!

Eva Green for Moiraine

Unknowns for the younger cast I think... (worked for GOT)

My thoughts exactly. Throw a few big names to get ratings and people drawn in.
Plus Eva Green is most excellent!!

I'm intrigued by this, scepticism abound though. Will be interested to see how this project fairs.

I always wondered if Joshua Jackson could pull off Sammael. Oh cool... imdb has a page devoted to the same thing. :P
