He logged back on, and went out of his way to walk all the way to FD to return what he could. It's kindof wack to ask for a favor, and then critique the "attitude" with which it is given. Mail the other good guys involved and see if they return. If they don't, that sucks, because in my opinion link problems are the only reason where yeah you should expect a return. But don't take it out on Loomis who went well out of his way to help you

Like most people do, no matter if its north or southwest. It has wasent ever a thing that people started demanding, and neither it is now.

You are just trying to bend it that way =)
Not as much demanding as it was friends being friends across factions.

Either way, there's no denying that you have a more in depth perspective of what seanchan did or didn't. I can only describe what I've seen though.

Seanchan pk returns usually amounts to "hey come back so I can kill you again" more than "What a nice chap!"

I have to suffer through "seanchan pk" so please let's not pretend it is shittier than it already is. :P

Amused to see Scandinavians still play. I feel like some of the famous people of the past (Eleanor, Otzo, etc were from there)

There's literally like 30 people playing this game...can you guys not be polite to each other. It's making everyone else uncomfortable.

Paj, Enok and Dimmu just have nfc what they are talking about, trying to claim that dying frozen would be something weird to get a return from.
I was curious as to why you seemed all salty over the missing equipment even though you claim otherwise. Why even start a thread if you don't care about such things?

Im gonna try to give an honest answer here.

I think i value "Equipment" and Uniques as different things.

I played this mud since around 2000. thats 16 years. on and off obviously.
Over these years ive had 3 uniques i think.

Trying to claim that loosing such a rare event wouldent affect me is just dumb, specially while loosing it to freezing up.

When it comes to returning, i think there are two kinds. Either the person(s) that gets a kill looks at the corpse, feel they dont need anything and just leave it alt. take some of it and leave rest. That has nothing to do with standards, they sometimes feel they rather have the person get their eq or some of it back promote PK or simply reward someone for a good playstyle that they think will have a positive impact to the game in the future.
I read something last week where someone talked about persons not taking chances is pretty boring and I couldent agree more, If stuff like this can help avoid that im all for it.

When it comes to the other kind, someone dies LD. When this happend I see no reason what so ever to return bits. Either you return or you dont.
I think its pretty BM to keep all the rares and leave basics. If I kill someone and it somehow gets to me that the person was frozen or LD. I would return everything in a heartbeat. Because I know myself how it sucks to die to link, specially with stuff that takes weeks, months or years to get back. I much rather try and take it from them the normal way. Ive returned rares and uniques countless times.

Im not calling anyone out here, anyone is free to disagree and have another view of the matter.

oh and one more thing.

No, I dont feel that logging back on, grabbing stuff from ram or whatever, running FD to drop all is considered "going out of his way".

Hell, if he gave away the whole set - the potions, the 8 vials and 4 ciders alone is worth a stroll to FD that takes 5mins to get a "im a good guy, i returned stamp" when comparing it to something that occures 3-4 times over 15 years.

Again, im not angry any more, I dont blame Loomis for doing what he did.. He is free to do whatever he wants, doesent mean i agree with it.
