Just out of curiosity, are buggy helms that load on Falme mobs all supposed to load in good condition?

Generally speaking, almost everything that you get off a mob should load in "good" condition. Sometimes something will load in "pristine" condition, it's very dependent upon the item and the circumstances of the load. It should only be through your active use that things will go through the wear and tear of needing to be mended.
