Sarryn complaining about people being jerks to him for no good reason is actually amusing since he is also guilty of being a jerk to people for no good reason.

Sarryn, man you are so bitter. Im going to come out and just say it. People don't want you or your alts in their clans because you are selfish and have a victim complex a mile wide. It has nothing to do with you not being capable as a mudder. It's the way you act and treat others.

You have made a reputation for yourself of being completely deluded when it comes to your own self-awareness. You create enemies left, right and centre because you are agressive and whiny in any situation that goes badly for you . The whole taim incident was a great example and Eol summed up a response to you perfectly.

The majority of players on this game are super helpful to newbies. They want to keep players, this whole idea of some conspiracy to hate you isn't there. However it becomes quickly obvious to anyone who you are as soon as you open your mouth. You talk about old players and dung attitudes?!?!? The hypocrisy is firetrucking amazing (for lack of a better description). You act like a jerk and expect people to love you, you throw dummy spits when anything isn't handed to you on a silver platter. I might get a strike or whatever for this but I for one am done watching you try to drag other players names into the mud because of your shortcomings.

There are clan imms and players who put endless hours of work into making things enjoyable for their clanmates and players. Petra is one of those players Sarryn, and you try to make her out to be the bad one thats "holding you down"?? The only player that has ever held you back is yourself with that mountainous chip on your shoulder.

Stonl, this game has so much to offer players still. There are serious issues with lack of coding changes and some imbalances, however we kind of have to do the best we can at this point. Exp is silly agreed, but as it stands thats a NWIH change. Please, PLEASE don't think that this mud is full of jaded oldboys who don't want anyone to be a part of things. Most of us realize we have a dwindling playerbase and we would love to retain players and hold on to anyone new.

Pm me of you are ever on darkside. Am always happy to take new/returning players exploring or smobbing to help them get their feet.

I think the problem is we are all grumpy assholes! There is no one person blame, it's everyone's fault.

I also have never had a negative interaction with Sarryn but I have seen him have negative interactions along with everyone else have an negative interaction with him.

I think the reason clanning processes can be a pain, is a reflection of how painful the declanning process is. People want to be sure that whoever they decide to clan is a person they can get along with, because once someone is clanned they aren't going to get declanned, being that declanning someone is so difficult, barring someone breaking the rules. In big clans, I personally don't mind as much if someone gets clanned whom I don't get along with, but in the smaller ones, or with smaller active members, it is always annoying to see someone you don't get along with get clanned.

Is there a specific reason why Flash is "Hesitant" To grant people access to coding?

Easy. Shrink map. Revamp EQ. Change smob locations so people have to discover new stuff again. Fix ways if possible.

I think Flash has trust issues thanks to one imort named thunder. No one has been allowed acess to coding since Thunder was banned.

He (thunder) was said to abuse privleges by hopping on his immort and zapping people who offended him and otehr stuff. I would like people to explain more as this was before I joined wotmud in 2001 so I can't really explain in detail.

Not quite true about no coders since that. Yes the Thunder issue doubtless has caused trust issues, but Flash actually promoted 4 people as coders (Myrddin, Tomasz, Telchak, and Paladyr) back in February of 2006.

Since then I'm fairly certain a couple of others were approved to coding positions, or at least taken on as trainees, but I can't say what happened with that.
