a heron marked longsword [R] 95 30 5d8 15.0 slash 1.5
a heron marked blade [R] 85 40 5d8 15.0 slash 1
a razor-sharp longsword 83 25 6d6 15.0 slash 1
a crimson-hafted battleaxe 75 22 6d6 15.7 scythe 1
a diamond tipped lance [R] 80 0 5d6 18.0 lance 1
a darkened steel trident [R] 85 79 6d6 16.5 lance 2
a partisan bearing the arms of Ghealdan [R] 80 32 4d8(5d8) 13.5 lance 1
Looks like PoG already fits well into pattern of craftable rares. Spears always been jack of all trades and defensive weapon, with subpar weight/ob and unique ability to charge.
And yeah, weapons have their downsides and you have to pick which bonuses/downsides you are comfortable with. I am sure everyone wants 10d10 sword that pierces, charges and stabs, weights 19lbs and has 500 ob/pb.

what we really need are craftable DT lances, those things have gone extinct and were the coolest weapons.

I want a craftable bow that pierces, doesn't suck and doesn't scratch after 2 hits.

After using a pog for a couple weeks I have to say I think it's a really good weapon. Yes, it doesn't have the highest ob but at 13.5 lbs it can bash anything up to 140db and the damage is exceptional. Add to it the awesome defense (201 pb in heavy combo) and its just all around really solid. I think any buffs would push it towards broken.
