Last I heard he had some deal in the making for a tv show, a movie, and a video game on the Kingkiller Chronicles. That was late last year. He puts a lot of his time and effort into his charity work, which he finds more important than the writing. At this point he says he does the writing because it helps the charity, and he wishes he could just do philanthropy full time.
